Just wondering how you guys split your characters for Kefka's Tower. I know some people do it differently each time, but I usually end up with the same three parties every time.
Team #1: Terra Umaro Shadow Gogo Terra uses a gold hairpin to heal and cast spells, and with Gogo miming Ultima and Shadow throwing things, it doesn't even matter that Umaro screws up and heals things half the time with Blizzard. Team #2: Locke Celes Setzer Mog Celes has the economizer and Locke has the Gengi Glove and Offering, so they really could do this by theirselves, but I drag the two useless (sorry Mog fans) along just in case. Team #3: Sabin Edgar Relm Strago Oddly enough, Sabin is usually the magic user of this party, because I've been using him so much he knows all the spells. With Relm controlling guys, this group really doesn't run into too much trouble, which is good because Strago is essentially useless to me (I'm lucky if he goes into the tower knowing anything more than Aqua Rake.) -------------------- Hip-Hop QOTW: "Yeah, where I'ma start it at, look I'ma part of that Downtown Philly where it's realer than a heart attack It wasn't really that ill until the start of crack Now it's a body caught every night on the Almanac" "Game Theory" The Roots |

i usually change it every time. but these were the parties the first time i played through. (surprisingly, i can still remember it)
team 1-- Terra Cyan Relm Edgar easily explained. Terra used attack magic. Cyan used Dispatch, Stunner, or Quadra Slice. Relm used healing magic if needed, otherwise Control, if that didn't work, attack magic. Edgar, i had a genji glove, so i alternated between physical attack and drill. Occasionally, i used the auto-crossbow for multiple enemies team 2-- Sabin Gau Celes Strago by far, the most powerful group i had. Sabin and the Merit Award were killer. I didn't even need his blitzes or his magic as long as his physical attacks hit that high. Gau raged either StrayCat [Cat Scratch], Tyranosaur [Meteo], or if i needed it Magic Urn [Cure 3 (all)]. Celes was a do-everything attacker. Strago used Pearl Wind if Gau didn't do Magic Urn or did Clean Sweep [best lore at the time] team 3-- Shadow Setzer Locke Mog I made sure to stock up on swords and dirks and ninja stars for Shadow. Imp Halberds are killer when thrown ![]() that's what it was for me -------------------- "When I turn the page The corner bends into the perfect dog ear As if the words knew I'd need them again But at the time, I didn't see it." ~"This Ain't a Surfin' Movie" - Minus the Bear |

well there are six characters i use more than others, so i have 2 of them per party cuz they are my strongest
Terra Setzer Relm(Kappa) Cyan Magic and heavy hitters, I probably coulda sent terra alone and still got through Sabin Gogo Umaro Shadow This was my powerhouse team, the second team is the one that fought atma right? can't remember but this is the party i used for that one. Mog Edgar Strago Locke Strago was surprisingly strong after i gave him a merit award -------------------- This one time I punched a bear in the forehead TO DEATH! I still have the scars on my chest. #1- Magic
Terra Gogo Strago Relm #2- Fighting Sabin Cyan Umaro Shadow #3- Useless Mog whoever my weaker char's were I had Mog use the Moogle charm so it didn't matter When it was statue time I had the other teams leave the tower and return again in the positions that Mog's group was in so that Mog's group didn't have to fight |

It really depends on the people that I'm using for my main party that time through, but I happen to be there right now on the challenge game. Here are my parties.
Sabin-Strago-Gogo-Locke. Sabin was one of my main four, Strago has good magic, Gogo is good all around, and Locke is just there because I don't want to bring Setzer and this is one of my strongest parties. Gau-Celes-Mog-Relm Gau was one of my main four, Celes has some magic (though I need to level her up quite a bit more), I have all of Mog's dances, and Relm is just there for the same reason that I brought along Locke. Terra-Edgar-Umaro-Cyan Terra and Edgar were part of my main four, Umaro is extremely powerful, and Cyan is there like Relm and Locke...he's pretty useless without weapons. ![]() -------------------- Hey, put the cellphone down for a while In the night there is something wild Can you hear it breathing? Can Relm not control people without a weopon? Or is not equipping relics part of the challenge, too? -------------------- Hip-Hop QOTW: "Yeah, where I'ma start it at, look I'ma part of that Downtown Philly where it's realer than a heart attack It wasn't really that ill until the start of crack Now it's a body caught every night on the Almanac" "Game Theory" The Roots |

She can control, but it's just not all that useless in Kefka's Tower, IMO. Plus, she's extremely weak physically without the aid of espers, and even though her magic power is high, she can't learn any spells without espers, either.
