In the description of the final battle of the Deep Dungeon, END, no guests are mentionned, when in fact there is a guest, with the presence of the Byblos monster.
Here's the link to the page in question : http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/fft/walkthrough.php?battle=74 I'll look from time to time if there are other errors. If I found some more, I'll post them here. Edit and I did find some more. Really boring day at work... Archer job description : the speed for all charge skills is 9999. This also happens in the Calculator and the Lancer job description. Time mage job description : the Slow and Reflect spells description and their respective range are in a single cell. Summoner job description : the Titan spell description and its range are in a single cell. Also, the Golem spell has a range of 32767. This number makes a reappearance in the number of JP needed to learn Zodiac (probably a glitche from wanting to say N/A...but what do I know of computer programming anyway?) Battle 41 : In front of Bethla Garrison's sluice. In front of guests, there's a None link, which aptly lead to nowhere http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/fft/w_guest.php?guest=None Item lists : the Javelin and Escutcheon found at Nelveska Temple are missing. Primary Ability listing : Chirijiraden is spelled Chirijiaden, Kamaitachi is spelled Kamaitchi. "Sword" description says "Allow a charter to throw Swords" (it's my favourite). Every "Vertical jump" says "Allow the charcter to jump..." The "[Equipment] Break" skills call for "destory the target's [equipment]" "Ramuh" is a "Lightening Elemental. Here's the link to the page in question : http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/fft/walkthrough.php?battle=74 Good catch. In order to make this really work, I need to add Byblos to the character pages, too. To do that I need to know his base stats and all that data that we use on the characters pages. Any chance you could get that for me to save some time on my end? Quote This is a coding error from translation of the code from one page to another, totally my fault. It's fixed now with what I believe is the correct value, "variable."Archer job description : the speed for all charge skills is 9999. This also happens in the Calculator and the Lancer job description. Quote This appears to me to be an IE rendering bug. Are you using IE? I was able to duplicate this error in IE6, but not in the Moz-powered NS7.1, which is the only other browser I have at work. We'll look into the bug for IE, though.Time mage job description : the Slow and Reflect spells description and their respective range are in a single cell. Quote You are correct, we use the PHP to transition out-of-range numbers like that into text. Coding omission on my part. Summoner job description : the Titan spell description and its range are in a single cell. Also, the Golem spell has a range of 32767. In front of guests, there's a None link, which aptly lead to nowhere http://www.cavesofnarshe.com/fft/w_guest.php?guest=None Quote Very good catch there, I appreciate it. It would be even better if you could get the stats for these two for me so I can easily add them in.Item lists : the Javelin and Escutcheon found at Nelveska Temple are missing. So it looks like everything is done here except for the IE error; I don't know if we can really code around that, but we'll see. Thanks again, and to anyone who has submitted errors that I haven't worked on yet, don't think I'm ignoring them; these were just easy fixes for me to do at work. Since I was at work, and using my boss' computer, I was using IE, so it is an IE rendering bug.
About the 9999 speed, variable is good for Archer and Lancer (you don't want to go into the details of these specific calculations...), but the Calculator skills should be "Now", since they occur immediately. The Javelin has an attack power of 30, an evade of 10%, a price of 10 (can be sold for 5) and is described as "Ultimate spear with matchless attack power". The Escutcheon has a Phys. Ev. of 75, a Mag. Ev. of 50, but I didn't get it in my last playthrough, so I don't have its description right now. I assume it has the same price as every special item, which is 10. Edit I see you already added infos about the Byblos monster, so this part is out |

Where are the mantles in the FAQ pages? I just went to find out where the Vanish Mantle is found and I couldn't find any of the mantles.

Finally, I got the armor page fixed so that it showed the mantles. They were always there, it was just very hard to navigate to them. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Though you have the figures marked as "HP" and "MP" instead of their respective types of Evade. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |
