I voted for Warrior/Knight. My reasoning for this is because he is my only character that never died when I played.

Black Mage/Black Wizard, of course. I've always loved magic of any sort, and especialy love offensive magic. Red Mage was always kinda cool to me, but I always thought that they were stretched too thin; they don't excel at any one thing.

Red Mage is the easiest to play with, being that they can equip decent armor and weapons, and can use most of the good spells. The only problem is that they take LOADS of money to max out. An all RDM game is realy realy easy. As is one of all Knights, because they get such insane defence that you rarely need to heal.
The black belts by far dish out the most damage, and they're quick to boot. So, my favorite is RDM, but all of the classes are useful, though whm and thief fall behind. |

I've always been equally fond of the Red Mage/Wizard and Black Belt/Master classes. One's a jack of all trades, a master of none, and expensive as hell to properly equip. The other's a guy with horrible accuracy who then becomes an unarmed powerhouse at a low, low price. How could you not love these two?
Still, my favortie would be Ninja. Sure, you have to put up with that useless Thief for a while, but it's so worth it. Blackmage/wizard is my favorite to cast lvl.8 Black magico o'DOOM!!!
Warrior and thief would be a tied second though, Thief for the Cool duds and his ninja adv.class. Warrior/knight for his power!!! I'm gonna' go with Fighter/Warrior/Knight all the way! At the beginning of the game, they are the best fighters. When it comes to upgraded classes they're are classes that are just as good an should NEVER be underestimated, but he is a powerful, sword-weilding brawler with white magic to boot. The Red Mage/Red Wizard is a VERY close second, however.

Mmmm.. I love Warriors/Knights. Thieves are ok in FF1 and Red Mages are actually not too shabby. |

Got to be the Black Belt/Master because he doesn't need magic later in the game because he is such a hard ass.
Although I did try to play the game with 4 Black Belts to see how far I got and I got creamed by Astos the Dark Elf  -------------------- Spud, dont judge me by the name. |

My favorite class is definitely Warrior/Knight. He looks awesome, he's really powerful, and he can equip the best equipment in the game.

I'm a sucker for swords, so I'll go with the warrior/fighter class all the way. I would also chose as a close second red mage because he is able to use swords (yay!), and can have some really good curative magic, and then just disentigrate them with some black magic. FIRE, HAHAHA.

Although healing is the most important thing to have, I've always been a sucker for offensive magic, so Black Mage.

Definately the Warrior/Knight... They're just so strong and they have the best weapons, like Excalibur. The only fact that I don't like about them is their limited abilities, I mean, if they could learn some sort of like, Ability magic or Blue Magic or something like that, they'd be awesome.
But next to the Warrior/Knight is the Red Mage/Red Wizard. It's just the fact that they are able to use both Black and White Magic, but they're slots are limited, so they can't use everything is probably their biggest fault. the best one is clearly red mage or wizard because you can attack well and you can also heal. if you can heal nothing can take you down. also you can cast magic on things that are weak to magic. a party of just red mages might be a little redundant but it will get the job done. personally i like to have two red mages and two fighters.
