Heh, here's a challenge. Try beating the whole game(Deep Dungeon not included) With only knights. They can change jobs only in chapter 1(so that means sub-skills and everything else has to be learned in Chapter 1) Then they have to stay knights for the rest of the game.
It's pretty hard at some points, expecially against Veilus, and it can be surprisingly easy at others. I'm stuck trying to kill Elmdor, since knights can equip the black costume and keeps getting stopped by the Assassins. Edit There are Challenge FAQs on gameFAQs? Didn't know that...this one is one I made up off the top of my head. But obvisiouly it needs some tweaking. Level Caps: Chapter 1: 20; Chapter 2: 40; Chapter 3: 60; Chapter 4: No limit. Also, No Special Charecters! That means you can only have Five People in your party, counting Ramza, and not counting Guests! Only two Jobs can be Mastered, and one of those has to be Knight....and i geuss that's it. This Challenge will be edited as I see fit. I'd assume there are level caps since power-leveling in chapter one is fairly easy, right? I've gotten up to level 88 before Sand Rat Cellar to prove a rumor wrong and the rest of the game is cake after that.

Yes, there are level caps. It's in a Challenge FAQ on GameFAQS, though I can't find it.

I have a copy of Munki's Challenge FAQ saved somewhere but really haven't indulged in any of its contents. My buddy's been pressing me to redo the TrueCalc SCC for awhile, though, so I might do that. I know for a fact that I took up the undertaking awhile back, but I don't know what'd become of the level. =/
Knight SCCs are actually one of the easier ones, compared to Bard, Dancer, Calculator, etc. -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

I read the Calc SCC. It's OK. I wasn't very impressed.
I'm thinking about trying Bard after my current game. I just need to read the SCC FAQ. Here's the link for the official SCC FAQ by Munki. http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/file/fi...raight_char.txt This post has been edited by Mellow on 23rd August 2004 03:14 -------------------- Life is one big road with lots of signs. i'm trying that now, and the knights all have White Magic as the secondary ability. Monster fights at the moment are a piece of cake, since im training the priests 2 at a time, and they heal my knights over and over (pretty tedious keeping the exp gain equal among my units, though.

If you're going for an SCC, no Secondary Abilities are allowed.

Quote (Mellow @ 23rd August 2004 08:58) If you're going for an SCC, no Secondary Abilities are allowed. ![]() ![]() You can pretty much do a challenge anyway you feel. There aren't set rules for how you want to complete the game, just ways that other people have done it. I think making your own rules and figuring out how to complete the game using them is much more fun than following some step-by-step guide for completing a challenge. -------------------- "That Light has bestowed upon me the greatest black magic!" |

I don't go step-by-step, I just use the basic rules set by Munki, the "creator" of the SCC. (He had help from others).

I think creating your own challenges is also more fun than something already documented, but if you're doing an SCC, you have to adhere to the guidelines. If you don't, you're not doing an SCC.
