Terra.

(Cue "People only seem to want power. DO they really want to be like me?" Yes, I'm afraid so.)

I didn't have the grandest childhood. I had some very unpleasant, Terra-childhood-like things. I identify with her, is what I guess I'm trying to say, and I don't know whether I would have wanted my life to be all dandy, now that I am who I am now. I like who I am now.

But I could have magic POWERS, see.

I must admit the people in Jidoor did have it good. But I don't know if the Rich Quiet life would be for me. And as for the PC's they all face uncertain Doom. In times of utter Chaos I'd do the one thing I do best Play my Cards right. Setzer all the way. Certain Doom has it's downsets but it also has an Airship and a sweet Sword slinging, Whip Cracking, Magic using Band of uncanny Heroes. And I'd be the guy at the controls of the vehicle which is to say also the best means of escape.

Hrm...Um. Relm for me. If I could draw that well at ten, well, I think I'd be able to forgo the whole art school bit. And yeah, I could pick someone more badass, but I've always considered her pretty awesome.

I'd like to be Celes. She's powerful and gifted, but more than that, she has strength of character and a sense of justice. People can be crippled or otherwise deprived of ability, but integrity is longer lasting.

Setzer, but with one thing done differently: I wouldn't show up at the opera house. I know it may seem selfish, but I'm pretty sure I'd survive the end of the world anyways, and probly be able to keep the Blackjack, too. I'm sure the heroes could've found the falcon without me, eventually. So screw saving the world, I have a casino/airship!

Or a pug. I'd get to carry a knife and a lantern, get to look cool, be an unuseable rage, AND I'd be rid of my unreasonable fear of pugs/tonberries! But not one of the pug's in a treasure chest! I'd be one of the veldt pugs, then I could hang out with gau while he's trying unsuccsessfully to learn my rage!

Gau: Me want learn rage. Do something!
Pug: *Takes a step towards town* need........coffee.
Gau: You boring. Me go back to friends!

Why a pug needs coffee, I don't know.

I'd be Locke, but obviously a female version. I don't really like him, truthfully, but strangely enough he's the one character I identify with the most, even down to frequently wearing a bandana. I've lost people close to me in the past too, so I imagine I could handle a burden similar to his. I even used to swipe nifty keychains - yes, keychains - from stores for a few years when I was younger, like they were my little "treasures". Yeah, I'm so ashamed.

But since I'd be a femme Locke, I'm fairly certain I wouldn't hold any romantic attraction toward Celes.

rofl....pugs r evil though...i would say Cyan. He rules everyone.
Mine does 9999 with offering equiped (no hero ring/atlas armlet) and has at least 80 magic power. however, it would be cool to be gau. mine has like 85 speed now

it might be cool to be kefka, but only if i didnt kill all the people who worked for me/were above me. if he didnt do all those things, he would be an awesome guy to play. if a real human controlled him, he would be unstoppable.

i would love to be terra, because i could turn into a pink fireball and zoom around, settin' thigs on fire, screamin' "SCREW YOU, FIRE SEASON!!" and i'd have green hair. (but it would probably be annoying seeing people pass moving thier finger from thier nose to their hair, saying, `it's naaatural`but then i could set then on fire!)

but if i was a guy, i'd totally say, Setzer, because he flies in an air ship,

So, this is your life...You run the opera-house, flirt with the opera-girls and when you get trouble from an octipus, gamblers, or a dragon. You can expect your adventuring friends to step in and kick arse. They will even occassionaly fill in if one of the opera girls is sick....or missing.

Speaking of gamblers I think Setzer has a pretty swell life. Flying around, kidnapping opera singers, gambling, flying around, missing Daryl...sounds like fun.

I'VE HAD AN ETERNITY TO PONDER THE MEANING OF THINGS. AND NOW I HAVE AN ANSWER...

I'd say this would be a tough choice. Unfortunetly I will say my first choice would be Kefka.
Though some of you might not believe it I would find it terribly easy to do all of those horific things and if I were kefka I would win. I wouldn't be sending some little sissy to do my dirty work when the heros are weak I'd kill them all then. My self one after another.

If that doesn't work out I'd be Setzer or Shadow. Setzer mostly because I've always wanted to be a pilot and I've aready experienced youthful heartbreak so I know how the man feels. As far as shadow goes. Well I'm a punk and an anarchist, I'd love to steal shit and become rich doing so. Yea it would be hard to kill my emotions and my best friend but don't forget Shadow fails to do so he runs off on his dieing friend unable to kill him.

1.) I'd probably like to be Edgar, because... Well, this is kinda silly, but him and I relate to one thing: We're both really big perverts. And I know I don't act like one, but that's cause I'm trying to retrain myself. XD

2.) RELM! Definetly Relm, because her and I like to draw/color/watercolor/paint/ect. I tease older people, myself, and I absolutely adore doggies!!!!!!! Plus, I'm only a few years older than her, so it works!

Definitely Strago. At this point in my life, Step Mine would be causing 9999 assuredly. And if the amount of MP transferred into real life, it would require little more energy than the snap of a finger.

Shadow, of course. I wouldn't miss a chance to be a bad-ass assassin ninja, who could kill anything with a knife and a shuriken and has a ferocious, loyal dog that would attack anyone that looked at me wrong.

I think a lotta people are missing the initial point of this thread. Many of the more recent posts seem to just mention how the poster would like to be a certain character 'cause they both have something in common, or because that's their favorite party member, etc. But few are actually going into why they'd want to bare their choice's burdens or even acknowledge if they'd be able to, which is the catch of this topic.

For instance, it might be cool to be General Leo, but I'm assuming anyone who chooses him has no problem with

being deceived and then murdered in cold blood.

Likewise, by choosing Celes, you should take into consideration that it would mean you'd also be a human guinea pig. Is that really what you'd want? Or choosing Kefka; you wouldn't be able to change things and win. Rather, you'd live the part as it is in the game, so you'd be brutally slaughtered by a very large group of angry people in the end. And Shadow. Not even I hate myself enough to want to be him and deal with his load. Like Stephen said in the original post:

I'm sorry even if she was just doing her job, I didn't like it if she was so mighy and powerful why didn't she escape herself! Terra had memory loss which was pretty suitbable. But Celes.. I just don't see her as week and angelic... I see her as foreboding and conniving.
