well I'm fighting sol cannon and the battle seems to repeat, I'm now level 41 missile keeps on whittling down my hp before sol cannon used surge. Well I can't heal, because all I have left is potions. I'm out of elixers. ( haven't gotten any in a while, hoping I overlooked some.
Currently have thunderbow
Green beret
Ninja gear
Angel ring
equipped
I'm going to take a break and then start leveling up again.

Edit
went to Tycoon Castle and got 2 elixers there, that may help somewhat, but I'm still going to gaina few levels

Edit
Removed my armor the boost in spped enabled me to kill of the other thing in the seocnd round, and two perfectly time elixers combined with X-fight enabled me to beat Sol cannon. no leveling up neccessary. user posted image
Current level 41

Despite the fact that my last post in this thread was almost 5 months ago, i have not completely given up. Every now and then i'll go back to it, and try and beat the Sandworm (Yes, i'm still stuck on him). I'm level 31 or 32 at the moment. I think i'll go and play it now...

try beating the game as a party of Bares

Bares are sorta easy and hard. The easy part is that they can equip anything. The hard part to do a SCCSJC is that they dont get abilities. I might starts a SCCSJC challenge but right now i need to play WC3.Updates will come soon l>
Just in question, do you use a Game Genie code to get the class your doing a single job challenge?

I need help!

This will sound INCREDIBLY noobish but, i forget how to save a image while playing on an Emulator blush.gif i think its something to do with page but i forget biggrin.gif
Ahhh now i need the characters dead one, besides Butz but for now il just kill the rest. biggrin.gif
Oh yeah i have a Question, is someone playing this on the Super Nintendo, so no save states just normal ZSNES save points and alot of OMFG GIMME A STRESS BALL RIGHT NOW!! I'm wondering because it must be quite challenging.
NOOO i cant find a kill Faris Lenna and Galuf code! And silver lances wont work!!

Idk about the others, but I use the code that enables all job classes from the beginning (idk how else that would do it, though):

7E0840FF
7E0841FF
7E0842FF

It might even be on the first page of this thread. I know it was in some thread here, but it;s just as easy to just retype it.

Titan and brain were rather easy, byouroubos(however its spelled) involved some luck, the battle took forever, but afer five tries I beat them, luckily not a single one cast exploder on the fifth try.
Day3-
Abductor went down quick two rounds, I used SL's strategy for solo Galuf, equipped the elf cape too so I could dodge his attacks.
On ther Bridge however Gilgamesh kicks my ass, more than sol cannon did when I was level 33 with no elixers. I have two elixers, but after he casts haste shell and protect, it just goes downhill. Elf cape already helps a lot in this battle so I'm keeping it equipped, Im going to try removing my armor to boost my speed. sadly I Don't have a weapon that'll cast doom (for the Hunter). Anybody have any Ideas?
user posted image
During an SSCC I just found this funny.

Edit
Still level 41, if being unequipped doesn't work I'm going back to the castle to level up (If I can)

Edit
The boost in speed gave me the win, the elf cape also doged a lot more. Only had to use one elixer, still got 1 left

Edit
user posted image
thank god I can finally buy hi-potions

Edit
Dragon Grass is pissing me off, when I use X-fight I end up killing allthe little buggers, but rarely hitting he dragon, when I use AIM i get bomboarded by the little buggers, this may be another speed batle, At least I have the killerBow now, that should help with later enemies. I love the KillerBow Dragon Grass i succeptible to Death. Sweet. all it took one two X-fights with my boosted speed.user posted image
Is that sweet or what.

Edit
Damn Atamos, I'm beginning to wonder if he is succeptible to death, but killer bow hasn't cast death on him once in seven tries. I currenty have zero weight and I only get in four round of x-fight before he repeatedly casts comet until it says annilhilated, I may just have to level up to take out this Bastard.

Edit
Just went back to a savefile before hand and went exploring, got a wall ring. Let's see how this puppy affects the battle. Also leveled up to 44

Edit
Well I can block everything but comet, Damn i hate this guy.

Edit
Lvl 46 now I deal 2000 each X-fight, adn I currently get in 4 rounds before he does me in with those damn Comets. I'm hoping he tries to cast SLow2 on me before him and it'll bounce back and hit him. Also What's the best place to level up before the tower, currently I go outside lugor bordertown and fight in the forest, however the tower gives a lot more experience, except I'm starting to run low on high potions. Atamos is giong down.

user posted image
Atamos I have a feeling your whole family is going down...

Finished with day 3, currently level 50 best I've done is take away 10,000HP

Edit
Not done with day 3. Found a place outside the tower to level up. Ironically outside a tower.
user posted image
One of the fork towers sout of X-deaths castle giving me about 2500-3300 exp per battle, If anyone knows anywhere better please post.

Edit
Actually I'm going to stay here for a while, these enemies occasionally drop elixers, which are currently scarce. So I'm going to get to level 60, before I beat the crap out of Atamos

Hunter (Archer) is a good choice. Definitely one of the ones I had the most fun with.

The screenshots are a nice touch, too.

Never mind, figured it out. Although I still need to know how to use fast-forward on ZSNES. Any help?

I have started a Solo Mystic Knight Challenge. Only just started however, and i have just entered the pirates cave. I estimate a while for levelling.

For me its the top left key with ` and ~
I must of looked everyhere and none of them have the kill faris lenna and galuf one...But i think i might to a SSCC with a black mage but i'll get around to it. Or do most of you just kill your characters???
Edit
OK I got to the cave with a black mage about to lvl at spring.

How could you live without the magic button!?!?!Ahh I cant get the Game Genie codes to work! *zsnes*
Ummm how do you save pictures l> well take them while playing on an emulator blush.gif yeah i know its sad but hey....

Day1: Black Mage started out harsh but i'll just move into the backrow for bosses. I want to get to level 15 or 17 before the wind shrine, but i'll see how lazy I am.OK 5-10 minutes latyer im finally at lvl 15. I love emulators you can level up 10x faster.
Day1 Cont:The lobster pwns me, but luckily it only took 3 bolts, and over 11 deaths.

Day2:Siren was tough because she would mute me so i would have to restart. But i might level up untill 17 and then go to the fire place.....its next right? or is it wolus? i'll find out....

Take off the last couple of zero's so you have an 8 digit number (that is if you're using ZSNES). That speed up button really works, thank ye very much.

You know...this actually looks like fun. Maybe it'll spice up FFV, because I just didn't find it all that challenging. (Well, there were a few bosses, but overall...)

*reads whole thread over*

Edit: *nostalgia*

Hmm...well, again, I think a Bare SCC would be alright with me. (I'm not promising anything though.) Would that be reasonably challenging?

yes it would be reasonably challenging. Bare SCC is quite the challenge. For me I'm planning to do a samurai DSCC next or SSCC (DSCC Duo Single Class Challenge). I'll know after I finish this SSCC.

update day4-
Beat Atamos hell yeah, level 60, started out with 34 elixers, ended with 24.
user posted image
Atamos was so busy chanting "Atamos Rules Atamos Rules Atamos Rules" that he didn't see that banana peel laying on the road. The bastard.

Go level7 Galuf, you may only be a Geomancer, but you can still kick X-death's ass

X-Death has no idea that even with Excalipur Gilgamesh could have kicked my ass. X-death just saved me, what a horrible villian.

Edit

I guess he's not so dumb after all, he condemns me at the beginnign of every battle whcich gives me 30 seconds to beat him, he has 33,000 HP, I deal 3400 damage with Gale bow, I'd need 10 rounds to beat him, But only have enough time for 5. Might need to level up again.

Edit
I have a question for anybody else out there doing an SSCC. What are your plans for fork tower? Currently I'm thinking of having every other character as 3 Zerkers with doom axes and wall rings. head them up to the magic side.

7E218600

Just beat Siren. Tough little thing she was. her undead form beat the hell out of me more than enough times. Got past though, so onto... wherever next tongue.gif

Garrr.... Damn Atamos even after I beat him he still manages to piss me off. I had a wall ring while i was in the tower, but underleveled, I went back to a save file to go level up, ran from every enemy all the way up the tower beat Atamos. Now I don't have a wall ring. I now hereby proclaim Atamos my archnemesis, i'll make sure he pays in my next SSCC.

Currently though I'm hoping I can find reflect knights in X-death's castle, or somewhere else. Damn Atamos. The bastard.

Edit
WellBeat X-death after leveling up to level 66, for some strange reason He didn't cast condemn on me this time, which was odd, made that fight a lot easier.user posted image

Edit
Update day4 finally got my first tablet. and of course I chose Yoichi's Bow
user posted image
Bosses beware, with this puppy I can do 6,000 per X-fight.
user posted image

Edit
After getting me second set of legendary weapons, I got sucked into the Void, and figured "why not?" no more real useful items for me to get here. Also loving the running shoes, now nothing stands a chance.user posted image

Edit
Ran into the frog queen and realized I was out of maiden's kisses. So I had to backtrack. I could beat her right now, but I'm going to finish for the night and try to level up to 75 tomorrow.

Edit
End of Day4 leveled up to 77 on a previous file stocked up on maiden's kises, Ready to go into the void, currently do anywhere between 6,500-13,000 with x-fight.

Hokay, I beat Galura and LiquidFlame, no problem. However, now i'm escaping from Karnak Castle, the Iron Claw presents me with a problem. Since I only have one character, his attacks paralyze and kill me before i do any damage!

l probably do a solo knight, then dragoon, then samurai, then ninja. not sure if I"m going to try any mage classes solo. But I just started up today on day 5 and am breezing through, Running shoes are a god send, I wish I had these when I fought Atamos.

With my crazy fast speed, 3 rounds of critical hits and one maiden's kiss, she went down with barely a fight.

Twin Tania put up a good fight, but my timing of elixers that has gotten me this far, and my superior speed from running shoes, ended this fight before it started

well I just took a step closer to insanity. i started a solo knight, i predict more power leveling than before.

Edit
Nix that I'm going to sleep on it and decide in the morning

Edit
Well I'm going to do aknight solo next, then take the experience I learn from it then I'll do a solo dragoon., but first I'm going to take a break, maybe look up for somethnig that can stop X-death's first attack.

Edit
Playing through, and I've just decided to do an scc instead, after the dissapointment with the fnal battle on my last sscc, i feel i need some teammates and I've decided on ninja.

Edit
Screw that, DSCC I like to make things challenging, one question; How many battles do you need to run from to fully power up chicken knife?

Edit
user posted image
Well I'm off to a good start, so far a lot easier than solo Hunter. questionig whether I should swith to solo. My biggest issue is now i actually have to buy phoenix downs.

Edit
Garual was a pushover, put both characters back row and threw regal cutlasses. i really could do this SSCC. i'll do it afterwards i've never seen an ending without all the characters.

This DSCC is just to easy the loss in challenge has created a loss in fun. I'm going to start over with an SSCC ninja.

Got myself a healthy stock of knives. Ninja has an easier start than Solo Hunter.

...I gave up on my blackmage and decided to see how far i get on a SSCC with a dragoon. So far dragoon is pretty easy but i might just do a Duo of dragoons like Cloud did with ninjas. Hmmmm I will solo a Mystic Knight/Sorcrer it should be pretty easy untill later on, i might also do another one as a Samurai if I get frustrated.

Dragoons are really fun because there is this pretty cool glitch that sets"jump" status on you for the remainder of battle. I did it during my Dragoon SCC during some boss battles, and they couldn't hit me for the rest of the battle. I think it is done by having every available party member Jump, and then having the boss attack the absent members multiple times; I'm not really sure, but I only got it to work on bosses that attack multiple times in one turn, so that's my guess. Try it on Galura and let me know if it works.

I got it to work on Neo-Exdeath, which helped TREMENDOUSLY. Not being hit by anything helps a lot.

On an Island West of Crescent, Freaked me out.

Leveled up to level 30 on the island north of crescent (1450 a pop)
no it wasn't the prototype, but it was those little black dudes.

anyways continued and beat sandworm, this pretty much sumarizes the battle

Sol Cannon was very easy, and I was only level 35, instead of 41. THe only reason I needed to level up was getting enough money for an angel ring. ninjas rule.

So Far Ninja SSCC has been a lot easier than Hunter SSCC, ArcheAvis went down with 5 shurikens, only had to use one elixer.

The Poroubouros(?) didn't give me a challenge at all this time, they were so busy dying they didn't have a chance to cast exploder.

Edit
also note, i haven't had to de-equip my armor once for a speed advantage.

THe symmetrical island North of Crescent gives 1450 exp every battle

and neither it's kind of by where mirage is supposed to be a little to the right.
Remember along the island chain going west from Crescent.
As for my progress

DragonGrass was so easy, Flame scrolls to keep those little buggers at bay, and shurikens to mess Dragon Grass up.

Edit
Currently leveling up for Atamos, outside the good spot, where Fork Tower is.
