Use the website, Luke. Â Modern versions of any of the emulators linked can run with a 24-bit display depth (though you won't see any visual improvement past 16, and things may possibly be slower, depending on your machine).
And if something will run in 32 bit, and it'll run in 16 bit, it's pretty much guaranteed it'll work in 24. You'd see this if you'd just downloaded and TRIED it, which would be quicker. |

I swear to God, if you don't start using the site before posting a question, I'll ban your IP so far up the totem pole that nobody in your city will be able to get here.

well, this is opinion, but I think it would be nearly impossible until more technology is out. especially when you copy paste on picture shop. The .bmp .jif (not sure about JPeg) are all based on 16-bits...I wonder if it even displace on the computer.

What? Â Hello? Â BMP is 8 bit or 24 bit, GIF is 8 bit, JPEG is... 24 or 32? Â PNG is 32.
It IS possible, we've said it's possible. Â Set your desktop to 24 or 32 bit colour and play a SNES emulator in a window. Â Gasp of horror! Â It works. And if it doesn't, change it down, or run it in a fullscreen mode, in which case it should change for you. It doesn't look any better, as I said, because SNES GFX are only 8-bit. Â Transparency layers allow it to technically display more colours than 256 at once, but it's still not as many as are available on a 16-bit display. |

Well, ZSNES Windows doesn't run under 24 bit. It tells me to change to 16 or 32, so I put it to 16. Shouldn't your monitor have 16 bit color also?
