Sorry if this has been discussed earlier. If it has, I would really appreciate a link.
Anyway, I've played through FF6 many times. I thought I had it all figured out. I got the Atma Weapon, Paladin Shield etc. When I found this site the other day, I became aware of another "ultimate weapon", the Illumina. Out of all the times I have played through 6, I've never found this item. Now that I know about it, I must find it! I tried to look at the CavesofNarshe weapons liist (which is where I first found out about Illumina) but it didn't give any useful information on how to obtain this item. Can someone help me out? |

You can only get it by getting the Ragnarok sword in Narshe and then betting it at the colosseum.

Quote (MogMaster @ 25th July 2004 20:30) ^_____^ Thank you so much! I was always so dissapointed with getting the Ragnarok sword because at the end of the game you always deal 9999 regardless, so it was vexing when it steals magic to do a critical hit which wasn't necessary in the first place. Now I have a real reason to pick the sword. You can still get Ultima from the Paladin shield anyways. Thanks again n_n Are there any items on the same level as the Illumina (or close) that can be acquired through morphing? Or better yet, is there a morph link? You really don't get anything good from morphing enemies. The only good thing I could think of was:
1. Cursed ring. Even though it does not do anything, it is the only way to get it in the game (morph Veteran) 2. Mirage vest. You get this by wagering a thornlet you morph from veterans again. There are other things you can get, but none that I ususally use. If you think of a cool item you want, try searching for it on the FF6 portion of this website, when you select the item you can see where you can find, buy, win, steal, or morph to get it! Quote 1. Cursed ring. Even though it does not do anything, it is the only way to get it in the game (morph Veteran) You could also bet the Cursed Shield at the Colloseum. Not that a move like that would be even remotely in your interest as the Cursed Ring is next to useless, but morphing Veterans isn't the only way. Quote 2. Mirage vest. You get this by wagering a thornlet you morph from veterans again. And the Thornlet can be stolen from Hidon. Rarely, that is. To be honest, there is no item that you can get from morphing that you cannot get by other means. The only item I can think of right now is the Relic Ring, which can be found only once in the game, where morphing can get you unlimited amounts of them. Veteran/Didalos, that is. -------------------- |

Quote To be honest, there is no item that you can get from morphing that you cannot get by other means. Very true. ![]() But the thing is not if you can get an item in the game, but can you get it an unlimited amount of times? (at least for me anyway) ![]() -------------------- "Look at me!
