but I still think our hero's original reasoning was uber flawed. =P

My feelings are mostly the same. It's only flawed if you're not one of those people who insist on facing reality at all times. (Because it's healthy.) There is some truth in that, but like you, I think Marche may have taken it too far. It's rather selfish to risk his brother's legs. I suppose that the two brothers might have missed their parents though...

If it was me, no. I'd stay, my brother could walk and we'd probably be in the same clan, making up for all that time that we missed due to his illness. We could hook up with Prince Mewt, maybe even do some missions for him. Maybe we'd even figure out a way to bring our parents to the world if we wanted to. wink.gif

I wish Ramza was a hidden character... mad.gif

I think people that play this before FFT will enjoy it much more because they don't expect it to live up to FFT. It is great in view of it's own qualities. The experience system is much better IMHO than in most other Final Fantasies. I thoroughly enjoy the battle system and moving around the map, get behind someone to attack, etc. I also agree that it is a GREAT buy for GBA if you like the FF series. It has the ability to save whenever it's your turn to do anything which makes it wonderful to fill up that crappy time I spend on breaks and lunches. The story is lacking, but as said before, if it were enthralling it wouldn't be quite as portable. Personally I felt like I WAS Marche because I was sucked up by the game.

That being said...
FFT does appear to have a more in-depth story, better ability system, and more robust battle system (attack percentages and such). It is also much more challenging, it took me several attempts to get through the first couple battles. I suppose I was used to just walking up and slaughtering guys from FFTA. I find that FFT is a better game, but it is not designed to be portable(I can never save fast enough for my wife). So they are both good games in their own respects.
