Hi guys, Adma here

Anyways, after reading the cyan's dream post, I remembered the bitter taste that that part of the game left in my mouth, I just thought it was a little off about how it was a little random, and then you were fighting the 3 stooges. That's the only part of the game I didn't like, but is there any part that you didn't like?

The only part I can say I disliked was the Esper Cave. Not the cutscene with Kefka, but just the whole dungeon. Maybe its the difficulty of it, but I didn't like that part too much.
That's the only one I remember

I never liked the phantom forest/train. This time through, when I was playing it on my emulator, I used Yousei's editor to make a route through nearby mountains so I could skip that entire step. shifty.gif

i completely hated the part when u had to defend narshes esper against kefkas army. it was really easy and all but it took up too much time. and they made kefka too easy they gave you too many loop holes to kill him with( celes with runic sword)

The part of the game I hated most was trying to keep Cid alive. I didn't mind any other part. That part was just annoying... and boring...

Well...let's see here.

1. When Terra goes insane and flies to Zozo. She was always my strongest character, and I hardly used Locke, so using him got annoying.

2. Waiting for Shadow on the Floating Continent. Sometimes he took forever.

3. That Sketch bug.

That tops the Esper dungeon, by alot! And besides the first one, I think all of Zack's are annoying too.

I'd have to say that I dislike the three dream stooges. I mean, sure they're trying to add a bit of humor to the game in a serious situation, but come on. You're exploring the tortured and pained soul of a man who lost everything he held dear, and you're fighting off dream stooges?!? There's something wrong with that. mad.gif

That part where that guy Adma made a topic about parts of the game I didn't like, yeah that guy's a doof.

tongue.gif Seriously though, I don't think I hated any part of the game, really. Sure, some parts got annoying if I was feeling impatient or screwing up, but they were usually interesting still.

Well, take that back (partially): Wrexsoul was a pain in the butt. Until he suddenly got easy for some reason, then it was all cool. o.O

Owzer's house. I love the boss battle, but I always dread the "dungeon" part of going through the house. I don't know why; probably because I never gave a fig about Relm.

Burn those little cretins, they just come back. Ultima, doom, whatever you wanna do, those creepy soulsavers keep on coming back. But for some reason they *really* hate being sent to the X-Zone. laugh.gif

Easiest battle in the game, I swear. Well, except the peepers of course.

True 'dat, but for someone who doesn't know (like I did), he can be a real pain.

And that's enough off-topicness for me. >_>

I agree. When I first go there, I didn't know about the instand death tricks. I fought and killed those little punks until nearly all my healing items were gone... I must have killed them a hundred times... but the person that they were waiting for to die never did so Wrexsoul never showed up! D'oh!

So I reset and waited got a friend to tell me how to do it the next day.

Getting the Tintinabar was far too annoying and repetitive for my liking, I hardly ever used the bloody thing anyway!

However you guys brought up the infamous keeping Cid alive part, which annoyed me as well... Don't get me wrong, I love ffvi, my favorite game of all time, but every game has it's flaws.

They aren't as much as flaws as just something that different people disliked. Its more of opinion

I really don't like the cave to the sealed gate. I don't like the stupid moving bridges that constantly dump me into lava, and there are way too many hidden treasures, and I always feel the need to get all of them. It just takes me way too long for too little reward.

The thing is though, even though there may not be parts to a game that you don't hate, there will always be parts that you don't care either way for. In short, games that are completely cool usually have a small replay value.

The game wouldn't be good without the bad parts, just like iit takes everybody to make the world go 'round.

I hated Zozo. Maybe it was the Hadesgigas that cast that earthquakey dealie, maybe it was the harvesters curing each other every two seconds, or maybe it was the fact that I spent hours writhing in agony trying to find the time for the clock before my brother finaly told it to me, but I hated Zozo.

Getting Mog's Water Rondo was annoying too... There should be an easier way, considering it's not the greatist dance.

You thought the Esper Cave was bad until you found it's big brother, the Phoenix Cave. mad.gif blink.gif thumbdown.gif Hahaha, this thing takes so long and it's such a pain in the butt. The puzzles are more tedious than they are puzzling. The long walking milage forces you to fight a million battles against very annoying enemies that turn your characters into zombies. On top of that you gotta bring all your weakest characters which require heavy maintenance. If Locke is not one of your strong characters then you go through all that for almost nothing!

For my part, I really hated the train escape from Vector. It looked like you were attacked by a pack of pixels. But it's mostly a design resentment : I can't find any part I didn't like in the game.

Correct me if I am mistaken, but doesn't he ALWAYS come with 2 or so seconds remaining on the clock? It's not as though the time you must wait for him varies at all.

Shadow shows up when the counter hits 00:05. What varies is how fast you get to the edge of the continent where you can jump off. If you do it really fast then you gotta wait a long time for Shadow to show up... like a whole 2 minutes or something.

The part I disliked the most was Cyan's dream. It seemed meaningless to me (three stoges didn't help).

haha Sabin, I like your enthusiasm. I am also a HUGE ffvi fan, love it, however Cyan's dream is the only part I can't rationalize enough to make it seem worthwhile.
