I'm not sure if the topic has already been discussed, but I've always wondered what the relationship among these three characters is, especially between Relm and Shadow......I've heard that they are siblings, or even that Shadow is Relm's father. As for Strago, I just threw him in there since he is so attached to Relm. Do you think that these characters share anything at all?

If you haven't read the links yet, the short version is that Shadow is Relm's father (in as much as it is strongly suggested so). I don't think the game ever tries to explain Strago's exact relation to Relm. He probably isn't Relm's uncle due to his age, so if Strago is actually in Relm's family then he would have to be the father of Relm's mother. Maybe someone else can point out a piece of dialogue in the game that confirms Strago is related to Relm...I can't remember if Relm ever calls Strago her grandpa or not.

Strago isn't Relm's real grandfather, that's stated in the game. I'll edit in the exact quote later.

"Actually, RELM isn't STRAGO's real grandchild.
I heard she's his friend's daughter."

That *implies* that Clyde was Strago his friend. But hey, this is gossip from an anonymous townsman, and he could've been talking about Relm's mother.

I've heard that Shadow is Relm's father, but I just don't think that is true for some reason.....I think it's more believable that they're siblings. Maybe Shadow is too young to be a father?

Something tells me that Shadow aka Clyde used to be the Thamasan Village Matchmaker and eveyone one at Square make it seem like he was her father or brother to further confuse us. Can't you hear them laughing?!!!!
