Who's played it? I just started yesterday, I'm around lv 9 or so. I think it's a pretty good game so far. Although there isn't much character development as far as I can see (quadruplets!), the gameplay itself is pretty FF-like and the Job's are, of course, a trademark.

So, what were your final jobs? What did you think of the style and gameplay in general?

Lou: I think so.

I loved FF3 and everything about it.

My final jobs were two ninjas and two sages, it took me a few months to beat the last boss because I was terribly underleveled sad.gif.

I recently just started it too. I love the boss battle music, it's just so catchy.

The FFIII job system had it to where your jobs levelled up, like what Bahamut did in FFI.
Given that, your final jobs are pretty much a given - Two Ninjas and Two Sages. Ninjas are the ultimate fighter (can equip every weapon) and the Sage is the ultimate wizard (can use any magic).

I liked this game. I loved how the job system was a levelling up process, and not where you get the important jobs at the first crystal, and then you get bonus jobs at subsequent crystals, like in V. I also found it interesting how each jobs' primary significance is found in its weapon and spell arsenal, rather than in its skills.
This game had a very good story, for an NES RPG.

This game is high on my "Favorite FF" list.

I still don't understand why FFIIIj has yet to be officially released to Westerners (it would've seemed logical for Square to have included it in Origins, ya'd think); it's easily my favorite of the NES trilogy. I also consider it to be the best and all around most fun battlewise.

I had just finished it not too long ago, I started playing the NES Final Fantasies just because of 8-Bit Theatre.

Anyways, the job system in this game was awesome, I'm with Dark Paladin, I prefered it over the FFV job system. I wasn't too happy with the random battle rate in this game though, it got on my nerves quite a bit, but otherwise, the battle system was classic FF styled, and the story was pretty good.

well i started 3 or 4 months ago and i am at the point after your first encounter with bahamet and i'm trying to get the eye or whatever it is and you have to be 'mini' for the boss battle and i can't seem to beat the boss. my characters have up to this point all been fighters but i had to change them to try against this boss, so for the time i have one white mage, one red wizard, and 2 black mages

FFIIIj is the ONLY Job final fantasy I've liked to date. I got to the final boss and

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
freed all 4 of the dark warriors

but don't have enough shurkins to use them exlusivly against the final boss, so I need to spend some time leveling to be able to finish him off. I just have no desire to sit and level for awhile though.
