Running from battles is a rarity for me (except for in FF9. When fighting Yans, I do it often).
Actually, I usually run away from Gau if I encounter him before buying the dried meat, if that counts. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. I only run away when I'm really screwed into a hole, like fighting Intangirs at a low level without Doom, and in timed situations, i.e. the burning house in WoR Tzen.

I agree the only time I every ran from battles is in timed situation like the burning house. That is the only time though I have too much pride I rather die then run away like a coward.

I don't think I ever ran... save the first time I played it through when I was timed (opera, floating continent, collapsing house, etc.)

Never.
The only time I run is in FFV when I wanted to get the chicken knife to be godly. -------------------- Yeah, I barely post. |

I run from a few things, but usually when I'm in deep trouble. Thing is, battling is my least favorite part of *most* RPGs, so sometimes, when there's an enemy that seems like it may take too long to kill, I just run away.

I usually only run from battles when etiher 1) it's a timed situation or 2) I've already fought a million battles trying to level up and just don't feel like fighting anymore.

I'm guilty of constantly running away from... I think he's called Zombone? He's a big, fosil-ish looking enemy you encounter in the deserts. Anydangway... When I first played the game, I ran into one of those, and I tried to fight him with my low level charecters. He turned 'em all into zombies and I died... So ever since then I've been mortaly afraid of Zombones... *sigh*

That reminds me, when I first started playing.... I ran away when I only had Celes in my party. Those bloodpires or whetever they are called cause havoc when you don't have any relics to defend agains their attacks!!

I start running away when I've had enough of fighting and want to get to a save point so I can quit playing.

In the phoenix cave, without anti-death relics, with Celes as a party of one during my three-man clear. Had to go kill the red dragon, you know. Other than that, I have only run from Invincible Guardian.

normally, i never run even if I have high chance of death. It hurts my pride. Although ff6 doesn't work "run count" (like ff5, ff7) I still have to fight every monster i see

I have runned away of battle like a 1.000.000 times! especially when I know that I must fight a boss or when I get bored of fighting.

Hmm, I think the only time I end up running from battles is when (if) 3 of my characters are dead/zombified/stoned and the last one is low on life... note that this is a very rare occasion, and I don't think it happens on any specific enemy ^^

Ya' know what? I hardly ran at all in FF6 - not even in the burning house since I seemed to have enough time. I think the few times I ran were probably on the Veldt because I was getting bored trying to encounter new enemies for Leaping and Raging.

I run every so often, like when I'm trying to sustain a low level, or when I just don't feel like fighting.
