I was in General Topics reading Wind God Gau's Topic on depression and when I loaded the second page of it the lines cut out of the page and the avatars and letters blew up really huge... I had to reload it twice before the site went back to normal. Just thought I'd let you Mods know incase there was anything going on that might be serious that you hadn't caught yet.

I'm computer stupid...about the only thing I use it for is online use so I just sign on and go to Cavesofnarshe.com when I come here... so I'm not really sure what you mean... I know it sounds stupid but I really don't know much about computers, I just play games.

I can't think of any code on our end that'd cause it. I'll put it down to an isolated glitch for now, but please post again if it starts happening regularly.

It does sound to me as if it is an IE rendering bug, as I seem to recall seeing similar issues in the past on an old IE install I had. Like Tiddles said, just mention it if it keeps happening and we'll help you get the information we need to figure it out.

Just so you know that happens to me as well occasionally, but I can't remember if it occurs with Internet Explorer, Firefox or both. I just figured the server was either lagging or updating something. It can happen anywhere on the forums, even the thread list page. It's no big deal though, and like Sephiroth says it goes away after refreshing a couple of times.

Yeah... it happened a couple of times after I opened this topic but it does still go away after a couple of reloads... I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I am using AOL, which is a horrible interenet service.

i90: if you see this again, please make a note to yourself of which browser you were using. It'd be nice to know if this does only affect IE. Thanks.
It may possibly have something to do with connection speed causing browsers to start rendering incomplete data incorrectly before receiving all of it. |

It happened to me again and I was using Internet Explorer... just thought I'd let you know... and one more thing I forgot to mention. I don't know if it makes any difference but when this happens it just loads a white background and the pictures that are usually there when I load the forums are gone, then I reload the page and it comes back.
