One Winged Angel was a master piece. Perfect for the final battle. And working together with the terrifying final boss fight with Sephiroth, it was just so scary. FF7 music was already great as it was but when you hear this, it's just the icing on the cake. Puts you in exactly the right mood. It helps if you can appreciate the game in the first place though.

Dancing Mad.

Dancing Mad, hands down. OWA close second.

Tactics' "Altima the Nice Body" and "Altima the Perfect Body" rank among my favorite, just for the driving intesity and the swelling sound effects. In-game, it's only second to "Antidote", but it ranks as my favorite because I can't really stand any other game's ending themes ('cept FF6's, but I haven't beaten it yet. so I don't qualify it to this situation).

I vote for One Winged Angel, but I also liked Ultros' theme, the battle with Griever (FFVIII), and Necron's theme.
On a side note, FFIII (the real one) has a pretty nice end battle theme for an 8-bit thang. -------------------- The Arcana are the means by which ALL is revealed. |

The final battle theme in FFT is awesome, but, in the end, I have to give it to

I loved One-winged Angel, but Dancing Mad would have to be my favorite.
It totally fit the moment when you're fighting Kefka. |

Like Zagota said about FFVIII having three (Maybe I'm a Lion, The Extreme and The Successor) I loved all of them but Maybe I'm a Lion is my favorite one of them all. But over All Premonition was my favorite Boss theme.

It wasn't "Sephi Sephi Sephiroth", that would be EXTREMELY corny. It was actually "Veni Veni Venias, Ne me Mori Facias."
Dancing mad is EASILY the best one. I didn't get to vote 'cause I accidently clicked "view results" instead of "vote" ![]() OWA and Zeromus are tied at a close second. -------------------- The island bathes in the sun's bright rays Distant hills wear a shroud of grey A lonely breeze whispers in the trees Sole witness to history ICO-You were there- |

i think one-winged angel from FF7 that was some amazing final battle music, but it wasnt really a final battle, the final battle is the one-on-one fight with cloud and sephiroth, but that doesnt really count

They all rocked, it's like choosing a favorite pizza topping in my case, I can't settle with just one! They were all greatly composed, great vocals (on the ones that did have 'em), fast, upbeat, catchy, dark, light and melodic. I'm sorry I just can't choose one, they're all A+, damn Nobou for being so great. BUT, I don't really like FFX's, maybe because I beat the final boss in one try and under 5 minutes, or maybe the music wasn't as extreme and uplifting as the others.

My vote went to other because 1) I haven't heard most of them, 2) I would remember them from a mental image instead of a name, and 3) I love any FF boss music, man! They always impress me with bos music! I love it! And sorry if it doesn't make any sense at all.

Zeromus's music for sure. Before the transformation, is the best rendition of Prologue I've ever heard, and after is just plain awesome. it really gives you a feel for the battle and gets you into it. Not that none of the others don't, I just enjoy listening to Zeromus's music more than the rest.
![]() After that would be Dancing Mad. The rest were nothing really special. |

My favorite final boss theme was when you fought the Mana Beast in Secret of Mana. I thought it really captured the drama of the quest and that final critical battle, more so than the Final Fantasy games.

Although One Winged Angel is my favorite "Single" boss music, The Dancing Mad tiers top it all!
FF VIII final music - "The Extreme" FF IX final Music - "The Last Battle" One note about OWA, is that the lyrics were stolen from Carmina Burana, an opera about wooing. It's a mixture of Japanese and Carmina Burana lyrics.. wierd. This post has been edited by MakouEyes on 14th August 2005 00:42 -------------------- |
