Wow. That's sad. Some of us have been playing since it came out and of course own the cartridge. I'm just a little bothered by the fact that paying for the game is the oddity.

Also...square took that approach with alot of their games. It wasn't stupid, it was just the standard.

Actually, I was being sarcastic. I'm seriously considering buying Anthology as we speak, but it's just that I have never owned a console at all, and buying one just for one game has never struck me as overly profitable.

Plus, the Rom provides the ability of hacking, where the cartridge does not. And actually 'owning' the game isn't the oddity, or at least that's what I have understood.

I got Locke to die in his own party from a trade off with a retainer, no glitch. I didn't use your party configuration however.

Can someone please tell me the other glitch to get back to the WoB? Thanks in advance!!

It has already been explained. In the WoR go to the opera house rafters. If there is a rat still there attack it and let the rats kill your party. When you are revived you will be in the WoB. I hear the game crashes if you enter towns and you can't get your airship back.

Keep in mind that I'm what you might call OLD. I played this in high school... 10 years ago. Yeah, I own it. It's in my SNES right now... which, by the way, is hooked up to my living room TV. I still have my original save file. So... yeah.

Wow! Someone on this site who is almost as old (or maybe as old as me, I played it in high school as well). As for owning the cartridge, well I had a copy, lost it, bought another, lost that one then I finally bought anthologies, and someone decided that they were Locke and used their steal command on it mad.gif . Thanks for clearing up the bug rumor, now I won't have to play through it for the 7th time in two weeks.

So this glitch doesn't exist? *sniff*

If it did, imagine!

Infinity Atma weapons, Odin and Raiden, Ragnorok and Illumina, etc etc etc etc!

Well... no.

The game doesn't reset the WOB event flags, so even if you got back to the Cave to the Sealed Gate for example, the Atma Weapon chest would not be closed again.

But if that's what you actually want, I do have a New Game + patch at my site that will allow you to get multiple Atma Weapons, one for each playthrough of the game, not to mention Odin and Raiden at once, etc.

well, i cannot bellieve some people didnt know about that until some confused person brought it up in the forums, shesh, the reason for the whole experience thing was to help with bosses, so you wouldnt get stuck indefinately and lose hope in the game, the "bug" (although it isnt one) was to help not for someone to use it wrongly. it isnt stupidy it was smart but the square team should of made it only available during boss battles...

Actually, I don't think it is that obvious. It's not like they had to put in this feature to prevent people from being stuck on bosses because nothing stops someone from leveling up more next time with or without that extra xp. Also, it is counter intuitive how they set it up. That is to say you don't lose xp, but the game timer resets, treasure is returned to its chests and you are brought back to your last save point. Since it's not the same as loading your saved game and it's not the same as picking up where you left off it's easy to see why the retaining experience feature is not general knowledge.

Well, it IS mentioned in the game. It's just that I completely read over it when I first played it due to the fact that 'retained' was (and to be honest: is) a word I didn't really know the meaning of.

Yeah, okay, retain is re-obtain. I get it *now*.

retain = keep

re-obtain = get again
