I was inspired to do this while listening to "Dark Side of the Moon". I think it's a fairly good pen drawing (no pencil, no mistakes).

The proportions seem a smidge off, but great otherwise. Awesome.

That's really neat, nice job :-) I like how you did that really large foot/paw, though I agree that the arm near the white wing looks a little off.

Amazing-ness all around. I like how the evil leg is on what you would think to be the good side of the body.

I normally find myself commenting on Kame's work in the chat room, and therefore never post any comments in the forum. To remedy this, I decided to post my comments from the chat room in this topic. Here they are (I'm Elder_Squirrel, don't ask):

<Elder_Squirrel> You're very good with the Pen; the picture was remarkedly clean.
<Elder_Squirrel> Excellent technique.
...
*MoogleGenocide scratches his rear
<Elder_Squirrel> The perportions were a bit off, I noticed it most in the middle section (He looked like he needed to be taller).
<Kame> it's called running out of paper
<Kame> ^_^
<Elder_Squirrel> Ah.
<Elder_Squirrel> I understand that completely.
<Kame> i suppose i could have left his feet off
<Kame> but, i wanted to do that claw thingy
<Elder_Squirrel> Yes, the claw thingy was nice, without it one might get the idea that what they are looking at is a human, the claw says "Well, not quite."
...
<Elder_Squirrel> I like how asymetric his body is; that's a hallmark of Classic Final Fantasy final bosses.
<Elder_Squirrel> (Hum... where'd that 'Classic' come from, I don't remember writing that.)

Yip.

That's feckin' sweet. I mean... damn. He looks only a smidgeon off... but isnt being 'A little.. off' Kefka's nature? Looks perfect when you think about that. happy.gif Seriously, freaking sweeet job. You gotta due a Sephiroth (One Winged Angel form). Hell, if you could somehow make it animated... and with OWA playing in the background... *drools*

I'm with ES/IP for the most part. Your attention to detail is nothing short of astonishing, but you've always seemed to have a problems with proportions and placement. Most of all, I like your *italian interpretation of FFVI which I find to be so much more appropriate than the usual anime cliche. Those abs and that human knee in particular knock me out and don't even get me started on those wings. ooober!

Nice.
Based on the asymmetry, I think the hands are supposed to be different sizes.
I like the way you made this your own, and yet stuck to the original. Most people tend to forget about that other wing.

I don't want to be the one to complain, but it doesn't really look like an evil pose (to me atleast), it looks like he's givin the pledge of allegiance and doing the peace sign. But I do like your little additions, although wierd looking, but man I wish I could ink like that

I had thought that his pose was reminiscent of how many saints are portrayed. Kame informed me that this was what she was going for. He kinda giving a deranged benediction in the picture.

Very good picture. The detail level is excellent, and both wings are fabulous.
I also like his look : seems like he's making fun of you, pretending to be a saint (I don't know how he can pull it off, with his left wing and right leg...)

All that needs to be said has probably been said, but I'd like to add that I thought the left hand (from Kefka's perspective, that is) was really good: the way he sticks to fingers in the air is a symbol used often in Christian paintings: it's a symbol meaning that the saint talking, and in said cases always sharing the true religion etc. With Kefka's religion being non-existence and his semi-satanic thing going on, I'd say it was a brilliant detail.

I think you should do a color version of this.

Seeing as how there's been some talk as to the gesture's symbolism...
That hand position is traditionaly reserved for Christ, the Second person of the holy trinity (and therefore the two fingers together). The number choice of fingers often represents something specific, especially in the eastern church's practice of iconography, which has a very highly developed language of postures, such that one is said to "write" (not paint) an icon.

Mondo cool, Kame. I do agree with the slight disproportionate comments, but of course it still rocks.

... and, guess what. I'm almost completely certain that the day you posted the drawing, I was listening to my "Dark Side of the Moon" CD also. cool.gif
