ya i was wondering:terra can transform in a esper as well as being capable of summoning them but the statues created espers and controlled them so how comes they get defeated by terra???why cant they control her and her espers?can anyone answer this question?

The statues have no control over the espers. Where did you pick up the idea of them doing it?

The statues don't create espers. They simply allow magic to exist in the human world. The espers come from the esper world.

did realy nobody see what was written when u come to the golden thingies in the wob? all humans unlucky enuff to thread before the statues were turned into living war machines called espers .

I thought the Statues created the espers. Hmm.
Anyway, the Statues didn't have any control over espers or Terra. I don't know where some of these ideas of yours are coming from. Well, he does speak the truth... albeit in the most unintelligent and unreadable way possible.
Anyway, the Espers, originally, were humans transformed by the Goddesses into magical beasts during their personal war and used as living weapons. At the end, before the Goddesses turned themselves to stone, they gave the Espers back their free will. There are two ways you can take that. One is that they were puppets, but the second and more logical option is that the Espers were merely enslaved. The first one is certainly possible given that the three were falled goddesses, but that's still the most unlikely of the two. That's just some of it though. You can see all of this info by talking to the golden statues on Crescent Island in the WOB. -------------------- |

At any rate, it's stated in the game that before the Goddesses petrified themselves, they gave the Espers back their free will. That would mean that they were much like Terra in the beginning of the game: puppets. Then why are the Espers not re-controlled by the Goddesses? Well, forgetfulness is one option.
