What's your favorite town or castle?
For me I'd say Tycoon Castle because I liked the background and the height. I also liked the Mirage Town because it has so many hidden paths ![]() |

I'm a big fan of Istory Village. Not only do they sell Flame, Coral, and Angel Rings, but Ramuh is also outside the village, as is the best levelling location, IMO (Stone Golems, Black Flames). IIRC, you also get Toad in this village. Plus, it has a nice, scenicsetting and isn't destroyed.
Mua is also a close second, but only because of Fire, Ice, and Bolt 3. -------------------- Is PJ |

I think what you're trying to say is that Istory isn't destroyed in the end. Actually, to tell you the truth, it is sucked up by Exdeath before getting the Airship back. But don't worry, you can always buy the three elemental rings at the Mirage City. =) Yeah, you get the Frog spell in that Istory Village by examining the flowers. Don't forget those tiny dragon guys in that place. They took me 30 minutes to finish it with just one Thief at level 30 ![]() |

Oops. My bad. The falls aren't destroyed, so I assumed he just left the whole city untouched.
Still, Istory remains my fav. Angel Rings saved the Berserker SCC, and Flame Rings saved the Black Mage SCC. -------------------- Is PJ |

I liked Bartz's hometown, Rix (or Lix, Likks, Rikks, whatever the hell it's gonna be called. But Likks sounds funny...) it had a nice little theme. Can't remember the name of the song though...

Im goin for mirage village, because of the piano master tune, the heavy and expensive equipment as well as the way to enter it.
There have to be big "secrets" (though everybody knows) in FF, and mv is just it ![]() My other favorite early in the game was waltz, the castle rocks ![]() |

The Lix town theme was pretty cool.
But my favorite town would have to be Tule, only because that's where the funny scene happens (Butz and Faris, before Faris was revealed to be a woman!). Musicwise, though, it's Bal Castle for me. -CSM -------------------- The NEW Final Fantasy Wiki! Join us! |

I really liked Surgate castle. That felt nice and properly militr'y! Still, to be honest, I haven't really ever liked the castle or town layouts for most Final Fantasy games. I love their world maps, but the towns and castles never really felt natural.

I haven't been through too many towns in FF5, but so far, I think my favorite town is Karnak. I don't know, I guess it's 'cause of the fire that's just randomly everywhere when you just get there, and I guess because the music is good.

Actually I think this game had one of the best regular town themes. ("Ahead on Our Way"?)

Weren't you looking for "Tenderness In The Air"? Heh, it's a nice song. I even have music sheet of it. |
