Terra- make her your number one magic user (i.e. use Crusader for MP); give her Crusader as an esper; give her the gem box and an economizer
Cyan- give him a genji glove, the offering (or paladin ring if you be playing the hack) and the illumina and the AtmaWpn (ultima weapon) Shadow- just throw crap ![]() GoGo- give it blue(grand train), blitz (bum rush), and tool (why not?) -------------------- Favorite Shooter: Halo 2 (awaiting PC release) Favorite Strategy: Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic "Wherever you go in life, there you are"--anonymous |

I would have Sabin of course, Celes cuz she can do everything Terra can plus obsorbe magic attacks, Cyan because he has that sweet swordplay move, and Edgar because of the drill and chainsaw

Let's see, My perfect party would be...
1. Shadow, He's tha man, always my strongest character Total Offensive, and Life 3 2. Sabin, the Blitzmeister. Gotta love 'em Decimate anyone with the bum-rush Defense is awesome 3. I'll have to go with Edgar. The utility man, and his hopeless romanticism..well, reminds me of...me. ![]() and Finally 4. Locke, StickyFingaz himself, Capture or steal, essential for a true item buff, I like to get all of em (genji gloves on the island in the sky) The party I'd most likely lose with is, 1. Gau, Catscratch? what catscratch..? 2. Bannon- Game over if he dies. and I assure you, he will 3. Vicks- He just sucks 4. Wedge (see above) -------------------- "You see Timmy, you can't take every thing as a life and death situation, 'cause you'll die a lot of times" -Van Wilder |

I basically stuck with the characters I liked the best. I didn't judge them by their fighting usefulness...
1.Edgar: He's a King, and his tools are awesome. Not only that, he can be a pretty decent back-up magic user. 2.Sabin: Pure strength, a very powerful attack and really high HP. He is also a decent back-up mage. 3.Cyan: Cyan is the damage doer second to Sabin. SwdTechs are awesome. 4.Strago: The main magic man. He does the most spellcasting, Lores are awesome! Ultros would be interchangable with any of these if he was a playable character...heh -------------------- Ouch! Seafood Soup! Delicious Morsel! Let me get my bib... |

The BEST team, of all time:
GAU: he can't do much. UMARO: you can't control him. RELM:uh...no explanation needed... LOCKE: Imp Style!!! heh heh, i think Imps are the best! But seriously though...here's the team I use: CELES: at 9999HP, 999MP, high attack and magic. Equip her with Genji Glove, Offering, Atma Weapon, Illumina, and whatever else you think she'd need. Have someone cast Quick on her, and then you end ANY fight in one round. SABIN: Alright, you've taken MOST of the power out of Sabin when you give Celes the Genji Glove/Offering Combo, but he can still be good. Bum Rush, Running Shoes, Hero Ring if needed, and you got the character that'll wipe out smaller characters quickly or heal up characters that need it. Start by training in the Dinosaur Forest with Raiden, and you'll gain like 20 strength, maybe more, and learn Quick within thirty minutes. At least I did (Sabin was my only character fighting the Tyranosaurs). MOG: The King of all cool characters...well, not really, but close. He's usually the back up healer for the team, mostly for Celes, as Sabin covers for the others when needed. Start with Crusader, use Quick when needed on characters. 2 MP for two spells a turn, ie Quick/Ultima/Merton is great on anybody, but I personally dont' like Terra. SHADOW: What team is complete without Shadow?? Toss a few Imp Halberds with Running Shoes and a Momento Ring and you got the fastest attacker in the game. ![]() |

What four characters make up your super force? In FF6, that is. The four ones that have the highest level, best equipment, most magic blah blah you get it, that you use frequently when you have an ordinary group of four (not like in Kefka's Tower).
Mine usually are: Locke, Sabin, Edgar and Mog. Sabin and Edgar need no explanation why they're there. Locke is (suprisingly) not there because of his ability to steal, as I don't use it especially much. But because he's my favourite character. I always give him the best equipment and get him to level 99, so he's my strongest character. Mog is there because of his dance ability AND the power of the moogle charm. ![]() What's yours? -------------------- People say I'm a slow learner, but I type fast! |

Celes, Sabin, Magic User X(75% Terra, 15% Relm, 10% Mog), Put Hurtin' On Things Person Y(50/50 Edgar and Gau). I'll use the others just enough to make them able to survive Kefka's Tower.

I always tend to use Shadow, Sabin, Edgar, and Terra. If at all possible I keep Shadow and Sabin at all times. Terra is my first subtitute though. . .usually for Gogo or Celes.

Mine is Celes, Locke, Terra, and Shadow. I love the magic that Celes and Terra give me. The power of Shadow, and the sheer sneekiness of Locke. Becuase he is one sly theivus Lockuness. "As seen on TV"

This is hard because when you get the equipment and develop the characters, it's hard to pick the four that is a "superforce." But I would choose Terra (because of her ability to equip the best stuff and her magic), Sabin (His blitz and tiger fangs do tons of damage), Umaro (great offense), and Shadow (just because he's Shadow, no questions asked). If anything, I could replace Shadow with Locke because he's fast and does capture, and Umaro with Mog because him with the Snow Muffler = virtually indestructable, but the others stay because I like what they bring to the battle.

Hmm... I worked Sabin over way too much when I was first playing the game, so I end up leaving him out. With a Genji Glove and an Offering, battles became too... boring. So I tend to op for Terra, Celes, Edgar, and Locke. Terra and Celes are magic users who also kick ass at melee combat, so they are a must. Edgar has more rounded battle capabilities, plus those Tools always spice things up. Locke is there because he's one my favorite characters... and to pair up with Celes.

Terra because she's cool, Celes because she's a warrior Godess, Locke because he has character and keeps Celes company, and Sabin because he looks out for the team and because of his Bum's Rush.

Terra, Celes, Locke, Sabin, for a well-rounded team. (Locke I don't much like in battle, frankly, but I can't separate him and Celes.)

Sabin, Cyan, Terra, Gau - Sabin is always my supertrooper. He just seems to have a useful blitz for almost any battle/always my first to learn all the spells. Cyan's swdtch's of course. Terra's morph ability makes her almost unstoppable at higher lvls and with enough time on the veldt

Cyan, Sabin, Gau, and Terra - Same as you, BlackFlagg. I always equip Cyan with a Genji glove, or I use him last in a battle so I can charge his SwdTech while the others wait for their next turns. I use Sabin's Blitz, Gau's rages, and Terra is my battle mage... either a big ol' double Ultima for a whole two magic points, or if I'm feeling nasty, a smack on the skull with Illumina

Sabin and Edgar are almost always in and together (I just love the figaro brothers), then there's a girl magician, Terra or Celes (never together, I don't why), and then an extra : usually Cyan, Shadow, or Locke. At any moment of the game, except at the beginning of WoR, you can manage to win with a team of that structure. Sabin and Edgar provide the attack, Terra or Celes give away magical support, and the extra is exactly that : an extra force, with other abilities.

Does anyone here really use Setzer as part of their "fab four"? I understand people like Setzer because he's just Setzer, but does anyone think what Setzer brings to the battle is significant? Personally, I never found much use for him. When, I first got him, I found he was probably one of the worst people in the game in terms of stats next to Gogo.

personally i enjoy Setzer(Gambit in my games). His Fixed dice are potentially powerful especially with the offering. Plus, without him thered be no airship, hence no game.

You're thinking of his ability, Slot, rather than the weapon, Fixed Dice, which can do a heck of a lot of damage (and rarely hits for too disappointingly low an amount, in my experience), especially with an Offering in tow. I also keep Setzer in my party for the same reason. It's a great way to do a lot of damage without levelling up too much (though levels do affect it).
Besides, Slot can be quite useful anyway if you can get into a pattern with it. I used to be able to pretty consistently get 7-Flush (three diamonds, not three sevens) which is a moderately powerful all-enemies attack. I also keep Mog in my party (primarily for charmy goodness) and the other two tend to vary, though Gogo is a frequent guest star in slot 3. |
