Edgar (Definitely one of my favourite FF characters of all. Plus, his tool ability rules.)

Sabin/Cyan (Sword techs. Blitzes. Enough said.)

Gau/Celes (I like using rages, and Runic can come in very handy sometimes...)

Oohh!! My favorite party, eh? Trying to find out!? Ok.

Locke: My favorite ff6 male character. He may seem weak but if you give him a tight ass sword like Scimitar (Kill the dragon in the Ancient Castle in WOR)or Ragnarok (Steal from the 3rd final boss before you fight Kefka in WOR. It's supposed to be the enemy at the bottom). I always make him use Ultima.

Celes: Just thinking of her makes me hard "that". I really like her looks, personality, and she is very cool! I always make her recover the party with Cure 3 (ALL) and Life 2. Or just simply attack those bitches in order to reach Kefka.

Edgar: Cool. He's not my most favorite, but with his ChainSaw and his Debiblator, the battle's would get more easier! And chainsaw does damage like around 8,000 damage. And he's barely around the early 50's.

Sabin: He's alright. I don't like his Blitz. It sucks! I could only do Suplex and Pummel.

Cyan: I love him too much!! His Quadra Slice will make him a true bitch to the enemies. But mostly I make him attack with Genji Glove and Offering which attacks 8 #$*$ing times...

Terra: Errr...I dunno..She's ok and all but not the best. She's good at magic.

Gau: Probably my least favorite. I don't use Leap much, though...

Strago: Same as Gau. I don't use Lore around time.

Gogo: Yeah, he's good but he can't use Swords! But atleast you may give him knives and staffs. And he can have 3 new commands.

Relm: She's a bit better than Gau and Strago because of Sketch. But not the best.

Umaro: He's always Beserked. That's why me no like him. But good power.

Mog: He's so-so. I make him use Wind Song so he can use sun bath on my party or attack with Wind Slash. But I just detest when he stumbles.

Shadow: He's tight. He's better than Umaro, Mog, Strago, Relm, and Gau, actually. I like the Throw command. His Ninja Star and Tack Star are very useful in the end.

Setzer: He's not THAT great...
I make him use GP Throw command. That's all.

My favorite party is Locke, Celes, Edgar, and Cyan. IN THAT ORDER.
IMO it is one of the best combos.

I would go with:

Sabin: Blitzs are one of the best skills in the game.

Gogo: He can mimic blitzs, espers and can use any skill in the game.

Locke: Of course, because he is the best character in the game. steal is the best.

Terra: Ultimate Magician.
