Transforms at level up, grows stronger as hp icreases.

I know that the attack power increases as your hp increases, and the more hp, the cooler the icon. Is the icon the "transforms at level up" portion of the description? I equip it on people just before they level, but nothing ever changes. What does the first part of the description mean?

It's nonsense. The weapon does more damage at higher levels, but then again, so does everything else. The weapon's graphical appearance is dependent on damage. It doesn't really "transform".

The sword grows bigger when used with more power behind it (involves character's current HP). This is meant by the level up:

0 - 500 damage done : Short Atma Weapon (also with a 'miss' message)
501- 1000 damage done: Medium Atma Weapon
1001 - 9999 damage done: Large Atma Weapon

The description is confusing and only with a lot of imagination c*rrect. I'd love to hear what Sky Render has to say +n the subject in his hack, as this could very well be a translation error.

But does the Atma Weapon also increase in power depending on how long that character has had it equipped (in terms of how many levels gained while the AW was equipped)?

GMH, that rumor is totally false. There is no code in the Atma Weapon or in any other weapon which causes length of time wielded to affect weapon power. The only variables which affects AW's damage is Level, BP, Vigor and current HP.

In fact, the Atma Weapon doesn't feed off the Vigor stat at all. It's one of the reasons I give it to Terra. I could give you the complete mechanics of the Atma Weapon, but better yet: visit Terii at RPGLegion.com.

Terii's faq has the correct formula, which confirms my statement above. If you read the full document you will see that I am correct. Vigor is included in the calculation.

Full damage calculation provided for your convenience.

Atma Weapon damage=1 + {[BP + [(LEVEL*LEVEL*(BP+2*VIGOR))/256]*1.5] * LEVEL * ((HP/256)+1)/((MHP/256)+1)}/64 //

I have omitted the randomizing piece of the equation for simplification purposes. Its already messy enough. The randomizing function just creates a little bit of variation in final damage ~+/-2% to the calculation above.

Clearly Vigor plays a smaller role in the AW calculation than in most weapons, but its there nonetheless.

Ah. Well, my mistake then. Can't believe I read over it, though.
