Which series is better? (i probably dont have all the facts so correct me if im wrong...)
Final Fantasy- Set the way for rpgs and the active time and turn based battles Final Fantasy Tactics- (it is a seperate FF series! FFT2 is in production for gba as i speak) Interesting and fun game way better than FF3j and FF5 in the way of jobs Bouncer- Cool fighting game with level gaining better than fighting force Seiken Densetsu- What kinda battle system does this game have exactly, it reminds me of zelda in a sense but then it has weapon upgrading (purchasing if your playing 3 or 4) teams and a level system so its kinda like a mix of ff and zelda to me Kingdom Hearts- I havnt played this yet so if someone could help me on this one i'd appreciate it Super Mario RPG- It was a good rpg the storyline was pretty good nintendo is lucky they go square to help. Breath of Fire- It is a good series with an original storyline but the weapon and inventory system wasn't very good. The things i thought were cool are the fusions and the fact that you could change characters mid battle. Chrono Trigger- and of course one of the coolest Square games ever, it seemed like a mix of seiken densetsu and ff to me. The triple attacks were awesome! -------------------- This one time I punched a bear in the forehead TO DEATH! I still have the scars on my chest. I am the manliest man that ever did man. Final Fantasy. No contest. The other ones can't even compare in length(some are only one game) and there are just too many innovations and standards that Final Fantasy has set, and reset.

hmmm, let me think.... uhhhhh.... gee, um, Final Fantasy maybe?
I pick this because they are the best damn games ever made, from character developement to storyline to graphics. While some areas of some games can be tweeked a little, the number of good things grossly outnumber the bad things of FF. -------------------- "When I turn the page The corner bends into the perfect dog ear As if the words knew I'd need them again But at the time, I didn't see it." ~"This Ain't a Surfin' Movie" - Minus the Bear |

It would take at least two Chrono games at CT's level to make me even think of voting for something else. True FF8 and, in my opinion, FF10 were a little dissapointing, there are too many good games making up for them in the series to vote for anything else.

Chrono Trigger. Whoopah.
Secret of Mana also, though I never really got into them as much. You may have thought about splitting the FF games up... that's about 10 games in one series, versus the other series which are 1-3 games apiece. Perhaps Nintendo/Famicon FF's, Super Nintendo/Famicon FF's, PS FF's. Personally, I've only played FF6 and FF7, and hadn't quite beaten 7. -------------------- I close my mouth now and I scream, Open the door, there's nothing worth redeeming I saw your face before in rough, You should wait around a while, your body's bound to turn up. Well I really don't think that FFT should be considered a different series. I mean, sure there's a FFT GBA installment that isn't just a port, but it's still Final Fantasy. That's kinda why they call it Final Fantasy Tactics. That Final Fantasy part kinda made me think it was a FF. Sequels don't really mean that they're a new series. If that was true, then there wouldn't really be a FF series because each game doesn't touch much at all upon any one before.
Also, the games like The Bouncer, Kingdom Hearts, and Super Mario RPG aren't a series at all. They have no following additions. After saying that, Final Fantasy is the best series for me. I mean, it has some seriously good games. Sure, BoF is good, sure CT and CC owned, but all of the Final Fantasys take the cake. And the amount of great FFs just outweigh the amount of bad FFs. -------------------- I find your lack of faith disturbing... |

I don't see how Final Fantasy can be surpassed by anything. Each installment has its goods and bads, but, and we ALL know this, the goods far outweigh the bads in every installment.

Actually, there was Paper Mario, which was pretty good, but too kiddish. I voted Final Fantasy, of course.

Wouldn't a game require a sequel to be a 'series?' The Bouncer, Super Mario RPG, Kingdom Hearts, etc. don't have sequels, so they are only single games.
Chrono Triggers 'sequel' wasn't even a sequel. It was a mix of two games, those being Chrono Trigger and Radical Dreamers. Final Fantasy Tactics has a sequel, but one we'll never play. Bad poll, dude. |

besides the FF series is varied so much that simply saying FF doesn't mean jack crap. Â Are you talking about FF6, or FF8, or FF4 or FF10?
not to mention that the upcoming FF11 is in an entirely different genre. -------------------- "Number One, I order you to go take a number two." |

The best Squaresoft series in my point of view would be Final Fantasy.
Why, might you ask?: I love the series, FF1, back around the time when FF4 was just comming out was the first RPG I ever played, I was a pivotal part in my cousins journey through the game, for he'd go get money and let me buy him max potions and tents when he used the bathroom. The best Squaresoft series in the economical point of view would be Final Fantasy. A bit of history : Squaresoft was going bankrupt, they needed a hit fast. Their "Final Fantasy" was this game about 4 Warriors saving the world by relighting the Crystals/Orbs. It was a hit, so it pretty much saved the whole company which produced all the other games you have mentioned. This is true unless the internet lies to me more than it should. |

Alright, I meant to vote for Final Fantasy and accidently hit Final Fantasy Tactics cause I wasn't paying attention..... but it hardly matters. The only reason they made it a "spin-off" rather than an installment in the series is because of the drastic style differences...... or in other words it doesn't fit the mold. I was tempted to vote Chrono Trigger for a second, but it was just a second before I realized that as a series, CT and CC hardly compare to FF. Sorry fellas, but as much as I hate what Squaresoft did to FF8 and some of FF10...... I loved playing both of them. If CC managed to whip out 10 or more games with about the same calibur throughout each one, then it might stand up near FF, but even still.........
You can hardly argue that anything stands up to Final Fantasy. -------------------- ".....we'll settle it with a coin toss....." "What do I look like, a waiter?" "...alright, uncle ulty REALLY wants you to do his portrait" "Strangers with this kind of honesty make me go a big rubbery one." |

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAARRRRRDDDDD!
I forced myself for FF, without FF4, I would of never gotten into RPGs. Mana games and Chrono Trigger/Cross are some of my favorite games of all time...but they didn't help me get into RPGs, they kept me there though... -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M.
