Best couple ever in a FF game has to be Shadow and Interceptor!

I don't know why you put Vivi and Eiko, because they weren't a couple. The best couple was Quina and Vivi. Null vote then, since it's not an option and there is no other. blink.gif

I take it you have never played any of the games we cover at this site, eh? What other reason would there be to make a poll that ignores most of the games in the series?

Poll removed.

And I vote Mr. and Mrs. Yang Leiden.

I remember seeing a thread like this before with a poll, but since a lot of people playing the newer games have come along, I'll state my vote again: Tifa and Cloud. I'm a sucker for the best friends thing. ^^;

Tough one! I think FFIV has the best couples of any Square game, from Yang and his wife to the brief but compelling Edward/Anna story. It comes down to Rosa and Cecil versus Rydia and Edge....I guess Rosa and Cecil's my favorite, it's the most developed union, I love the two characters, and it kind of symbolizes the whole SNES FF era for me.

The Kain Golbez Combo Rocked the socks off of the other partnerships. The Pure evil Pwnage was to much. As for the Whole love thing, I believe i'll go with Locke and Rachel. He was so upset, bad crap and luck tried to tear them apart, but even death wouldn't stop locke from revivifying her in a crazy old mans basement. wacko.gif

Anna-Edward
They were the only tragic couple that was actually a couple (unlike Cloud and Aeris), and where the survivor actually mourned the deceased one's passing (unlike Locke).
Cecil-Rosa are #2
They were the only FF couple whose romantic development occurd during the story and got married. (I don't think Alexandria recognizes marriages unless done on Mist continent)

I'm not sure if it counts, because you never have to devlop the relationship, but my favorite was Cloud/Aerith. I really liked Aerith as a character, and the way she sort of worked on the tough guy bit of Cloud was touching.

Well, to paraphrase Celes (i think), "I'm a [complete nutter] not some love-starved twit!" and i don't really care much for the romantic sides of FF games, but the Garnet/Zidane romantic coupling is best in plot IMO as its the source of a few jokes , gags, and , in most cases untill about the end of disc 2, questioning as to why Garnet doesnt get a restraining order...

Fighting Partnerships in the plot woudl be Shadow and Interceptor. Lets face it, ninja assassin type dude with ninja plain murderer dog= ninja doggydeath fun!

Aerith and Cloud...her death was sad and even Cait Sith said in the Temple of Ancients that they were a perfect match.
