There are no "secret" summons, but two that can be missed are Shiva and Odin.

While I don't think there are any SECRET summons, I'm gonna guess you're refering to Shoat and Golem, because they are so easily missed. (Never did get Shoat)

I'm giving it to dark paladin coz he got there first. I was looking for shoat, golem, shiva or odin. I'm not sure about ramuh though, do you have to fight him?(not actual question)

Yes you do have to fight Rumah. Shoat and Shiva are pretty out of the way and are easy to miss but Golem your garunteed to see at least once.

Which Magic Spells can automatically kill the caster (3)?
As in, you don't change who the initial target is.

Exploder, Pep Up and Possess (or whatever those Unknown monsters use).

If you want to talik Rom, by the way, there are more the one. The one Golem uses after he decides to join you party, for example. And those explosions you see when you kill off the Soul Gun? They're basically just the graphics of a self-target instant-death move that bypasses Death protection.

So anyway: Exploder, Pep Up and Possess (or whatever those Unknown monsters use).

Edit
Since I'm positive I'm right about this, and since DP hasn't responded within two days, I'll present you my question.

There is at least one enemy that uses Almagest other then Neo X-Death. Which enemy am I talking about? Note: when I'm talking 'using', take the definition of that word in the broadest sense. It is in-battle, however. 'nough hints.

48 hours, dude.
And you are wrong. I said Magic Spell. Meaning a spell your characters can use.

Ah, okay. Drain and White Wind could kill the caster under certain circumstances (resp. undead target and undead caster (BoneMail). I'm not changing the target, so it should be a valid answer.

While White Wind would technically be true (caster can survive Drain with a successful hit), having to set up the situation negates it happening "automatically."

Hint: Think about the relationship of the words "can" and "automatically."

*smacks himself on the head*

Roulette. 'Twouldn't be called Roulette if this possibility was non-existent, right?

But why did you say 'caster can survive Drain with a succesful hit'? Doesn't Drain invert damage in # V? That doesn't make any direct sense, since draining the undead can very nicely kill you off in IV and VI.

You got it.
The Drain thing - you can survive it if it hits an undead enemy. You cannot survive Roulette, Pep Up, or Exploder, if they are successful.

Fair enough. I guess it's a matter of interpretating the word 'can' in this context. IF you make Roulette hit you, then you die. IF you're wearing BoneMail, then WhiteWind kills you. IF you have only a few HP left and you target an undead target, then you die.

At any rate: There is at least one enemy that uses UltraGust other then Neo X-Death. Which enemy am I talking about? Note: when I'm talking 'using', take the definition of that word in the broadest sense. It is in-battle, however. 'nough hints.

And aah....although I would love to make you take a peek at the The Final Fantasy V Monster Command Script, the answer is not in there. Yet (omnious forshadowing).

There are two other monsters: Shield Dragon and Silvune. Catch either one, release them and they will use Almagest.

distinct apologies to the moderators for my topic, I didn't notice this one. I swear it wasn't there when I was here yesterday... blush.gif
Edit
and to make up for it, seeing as there were no posts for the last 5 days, I'll post another question:

what are the top 5 attacks in terms of attack power?

please forgive my past actions, moderators!

I was actually referring to single spells or abilities that have a text box saying the name of the spell/ability, and some of these are iirc indipendantly unique monster abilities.

however, as the 2 day mark has been reached, I leave 3 choices:
keep guessing the answer to my clarified question,
or
put it up for grabs
or
let rune knight have it as he was so intuitive.

if it is either of the last 2 then on demand the answer will be posted.

Actually, I'm a girl. Anyway, I'll pose a question, if no one minds: If you used Drain Kiss on yourself, what would happen?

I know it'll restore your HP by a large amount, but I don't remember if there's anything that determines that amount.

At first I thought you were wrong, but after checking it seems you are indeed correct. The monster I was thinking of was Crescent, but both give you the Death Scythe. Your turn!

ALRIGHT!

Hmm, gameplay based questions are nice, but how about we kick it up a notch, with some story related questions.

Here's an easy one:
