The stone statues, in Val Castle's basement... I don't remember what they're called...

actually, both of them do, and the statues are RockStatues, but seeing as I ctrl + f'ed an faq (how does one turn ctrl+f into a verb?), I'd prefer if either Khimari or Faiden got it...

Who said you may decide? Kimahri, you were CLOSE. Fadien, you got that right, man.. The name of those statues are Rock Guards in the Final Fantasy V Anthology or just Statue in the original Super Famicom translation from RPGe.

You're up.

How can you get Lv 3 Flare to work on both Omega, and Shinyuu?

Hint: Omega is level 119, and Shinyuu is level 97

Dischord: halves levels every time, rounding down.

Omega: 119 / 2 = 59.5, 59 / 2 = 29.5, 29 / 2 = 14.5, 14 / 2 = 7, 7 / 2 = 3.5 => level 3.
Shinryu: 97 / 2 = 48.5 => level 48.

Edit
Even if I got the methodology right, I'm giving it to alphasmart (see below), who came up with the correct spell name.

I think you're thinking of FFVI chief, there is no dischord in FFV IIRC....that being the case, does old have something to do with it?

Edit
ahem, forget that last part, you use dark shock to the same effect as what GMH said

Well, assuming you could survive long enough to land 5 Blackshocks on Omega, it would, in theory, work.

I was thinking more along the lines of using a Dragon Power mix on either of them. It boosts their level 20.

Omega 119+20=139

Shinryu 97+20=117

But.... Yea... Go ahead alphasmart.

pfff....give it to GMH (or up for grabs if he doesn't want it) as he had the right idea, just the wrong name for the spell. Dischord is identical to darkshock in what it does and GMH did the maths, so he should get the credit. Plus I don't have a decent question.

Omega 119+20=139

139 isn't divisible by 3; it's a prime number.

You'd want to Dragon Power Omega twice, giving 159, which is divisible by 3 (3*53).

Anyways, how many characters/character groups, including NPCs, NPC groups, and antagonists, have character themes, and who are they? To get credit, you must name them.

For example, if Butz had a theme (which he doesn't), that would count as one. "The Four Warriors of Dawn" counts as one, because it's a single theme representing a group. Also, battle themes don't count (i.e. Gilgamesh's battle theme doesn't count). (Hey, I already gave you one for free there!)

It's been a while since someone updated this so I hope I'm not intruding by taking off with a question.

P.S: Please keep this Trivia alive!!

Cause the answer is so obvious that he DID get it right (although I'm not the one to say) okay - disreguard my question if you feel I shouldn't have asked it. Here goes nothing.

-question removed-

My site is FFV - Bounce feel free to comment on it! shifty.gif

Soz, for asking a question but try to keep this going for at least two to three questions a day. cool.gif

Moderator Edit
It's usually a good idea to read the first post of a topic before you post in it. In that first post:

Trivia rules:
1) One question on the board at a time please.
2) You may post a new question ONLY if you get the previous question correct.
3) Only post a new question after the question poser has confirmed an answer is correct or is satisfied the answer is sufficient.
4) Follow the normal board rules for off-topic posts. Questions about the current question or answer are still welcome.
5) Do not start a chain of answers (i.e. If Lenna asks question one, and Galuf answers, Lenna can not answer the following question, whether it be asked by Galuf or anyone who Galuf passes the question to).
6) Have fun.

So, in order to post a question, you must answer one correctly first.

Since it's been three days since a question was last asked, I'll take it and ask an easy question in order to try to keep this baby alive.

Of all the spells in Black, White, Jikuu, and Summon magic, list all the spells that can be acquired free of charge (basically, which ones can you find)?

I'm aware that some can be both found and bought. If it is possible to get the spell without buying it, it counts for this question.

Ok, at the Phoenix Tower, which hidden staircase in each floor is the correct path to avoid getting a fight? It goes from left to right (our view).

Well, you didn't ask your next question after answering that other one from Caesar's, and it's been two-three days you haven't asked a question.. So anybody can claim it theirs when it takes so long smile.gif And that's me happy.gif

Of course you're allowed to answer this. I asked the question =P

I'm not sure exactly what the jurisdiction is for this case. I asked a question and Kimahri answered, so I can't answer his question, but Neo took it. I'm not sure who can answer and who can't, but between thw two of us (Kimahri and myself), at least one of us can answer. I'll forfeit my priviledge (if I had it) to Kimahri, so he can answer if he wants.

The end. No complaints.

Hopefully we won't have this going on too frequently, otherwise we may hafta make a new rule.

Damn, it's been a week 'n a few days already. Here's my question.. It's more like some quiz rather than a trivia, but meh, this is more entertaining:

Here's my "setup" on Butz:

BUTZ (Job: Samurai) (Ability/ies: Brawl)
Right Hand: Man Eater Knife
Left Hand: Diamond Shield
Head: Dark Hood
Body: Diamond
Relic: None

How many mistakes are there on his setup? Point them out and explain which of those each can be equipped by.

wink.gif Thats are hard one cause you used a weird ability (i have anthology) but I think it means !Kick so I hope I'm right.

It could either be:

Bartz (JOB - Samurai) (ABILITY - GP Toss)

Right Hand - Man Eater Knife (all can equip knives - and most Short Swords)
Left Hand - Diamond Shield (this armor isn't in the game if I remeber rightly - but if if were to be Samurai wouldn't be able yet Knights would)
Head - Dark Hood (another thing that isnt featured in FFV)
Body - Diamond (I'm stuck - this must be in the game, wait - IT ISN'T)
Relic - None (possible)

Too hard for me... unsure.gif
