A lot of people like to give funny or personal names to their computers, iPods, etc. So what do you guys name your stuff?

Right now I'm working on my new computer which i have named Hilda Garde 3, since it's a sleek, sexy, and MASSIVE beast. And I've retroactively named my old computer Hilda Garde 2, since it was a barely-functioning piece of crap that i assume was designed by a frog. And to top it off, I'm surfing the internet on The Wings of Time (what i named my connection).

You ganked Wings of Time from me. That's been the name of my current laptop since I got it back in 2009, named because we were developing the CT section at the time I got it.

Obviously I have Climhazzard in my network, though really, he named himself long ago. Wasn't much I could do about it. My gaming PC, though, is called Monolith, because the case I got to build it in looks as if it's been hewn from one giant piece of material (when the doors are closed). I named the big hard drives inside that box "Cairn" and "Menhir" to follow the theme. My wife's Mac is named "Keys to the City," after the Go! Team song, as well.

Our iPods and iPhones are just named the defaults, however.

My gaming computer is Ubern00b cause I like the sound of uber and n00b is gaming lingo the kids are using these days. My work computer is Uberbob cause I like the sound of uber and bob has nothing to do with gaming.

Everything else I own is steam driven.

All of my computers are named "Shadow". I'm not sure how I started naming them this except that I had a cat named Shadow in high school and when I graduated I got my first "own" PC and I needed a name for it. I don't name anything else creative (though I should) my iPod's name is Bekah's iPod Touch (I know creative right?) But my network name is Zarabanda which is the Spanish translation of the word Saraband which is defined as "a stately court dance of the 17th and 18th centuries resembling the minuet" and it was the name of a new age contemporary classical song that I really liked by the group Adiemus. My network used to be called Phantasmagoria.

My current computer is called R2-D2. It sort of looks like him after he got blasted while in the fighter. I totally ripped the entire front panel off to get my CD-writer in there and it looks horrible.

My last laptop is named mother****er and my current computer is named Argo. My car is Bucephalus and my mp3 player is Hector.

For as long as I can remember, I've named all of my gadgets after Transformers. My old laptop was Starscream, and when I salvaged the hard drive from it, I renamed it the Matrix of Leadership. My current gaming rig is Galvatron, as it was a computer that I got in pieces and reassembled into something monstrous. I guess that makes me Unicron? Anyway. The laptop I use to store all my music and do all my recording/editing with is Soundwave. Since I also sync my cellphone and iPod to this laptop, they are named Ravage and Frenzy respectively, after the spy cassettes that lived in Soundwave's chest. The name for my large external hard-drive is Grimlock.

I'm sure there are more that aren't coming to me at the moment, but yeah, I tend to stick to that theme.

I don't usually tend to call my gadgets by names in particular, but:

My PS3 is called Eliza (because the wallpaper used to be Eliza Dushku)

My PCs tend to end up with the moniker of Deepthought

And at my old place I named the wireless network G.W.
