Recently, there was a concert of Final Fantasy music performed in LA, for the E3 convention. According to the article by Gamespot.com , it was a smashing success, and even had a surprise perfomance of One Winged Angel, from FFVII
Among the compositions played, there was: * Terra's Theme (Final Fantasy VI) * Theme of Love (Final Fantasy IV) * Dear Friends (Final Fantasy V) * Aeris's Theme (Final Fantasy VII) * Not Alone (Final Fantasy IX) * New Melody From Final Fantasy VII Advent Children * Final Fantasy (Theme) Apparently, there were also many video cameras in the audience, so there is a chance that the taped version will be released to the public (or illegally to the internet) sometime in the future. *** I'm sure there are plenty of Final Fantasy fans that wish they could have been at this concert, it sounds like it was a wonderful evening. The article does say that there may be more concerts like this in the future, so keep your ear to the ground if you're interested! -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

Read the article, there's more there. The list is bigger than what I posted. ^-^ (Hint: Click on Gamespot.com, it takes you there)

I wish concerts would play more than just their classical works. Can't they get some people together to play like Devil's Lab (FFVI) on guitars and drums and stuff?
But anyway, the concert sounded really awesome. Wish I coulda been there. -------------------- Wow. 1,000 posts. I miss you all now that I'm in boarding school! ;_; |

WHAAAA! *Cries*
I REALLY WISH I WAS THERE! Man, this is the biggest consperecy of our time. I think they should go on tour, that way they'd probably come to denver. I would have liked to see them pkay you are not alone (One of my favorite video game songs) and One Winged Angel. Freya's theme should have been played -------------------- "We're not tools of the government or anyone else. A buddy of mine, Castor Troy, was able to go...the bastard. He also posted a quick recap of his thoughts here. Damn, I am so envious of him right now I could beat him with a trout.
Edit I heard another report from someone who was able to go, and he had close seats. Apparently there were many cameras filming the event. He asked one of them if they were going to make a DVD out of it, and the guy said he wasn't sure. That was one of the options, the other option was the possibility of a pay-per-view event. So hopefully we(those that missed the show) will still be able to experience it at home.
