You know, upon more thought, I changed my mind. I'm most like two types of mages:
Red Mage: I try to do and to learn to do a lot of things, but I'm not necessarily the best at anything. I might be very good at some things (such as playing the piano and arguing with people) and I might suck at others (such as tennis and understanding modern literature). But I nevertheless have a very diverse and large set of interests, and just like a red mage, I try to know at least a little bit of everything. Blue Mage: I tend to learn a lot of things by observing how people do them. For example, my family just moved, and I've learned a lot about selling, finding, and buying houses by watching my parents and our realtor. I learned a lot of my "cool-sounding" speech-making skills from reading literature, listening to politicians speak, and reading the dialogue script from a number of RPGs (especially FFV-FFVII). I've even recently completed a game of Metroid Zero Mission by imitating a 100% speed run (needless to say, I didn't get 100%--only 91%--and it took me about four times as long). Just like a blue mage, I learn by observation--I might not get it right the first time, but if I see, and I think it's worth trying, I might very well do. Make me a purple mage. A Certified Purple Mage. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. You can find me on the Fediverse! Time Mage. "Stop" would be my best friend; just imagine all the fun to be had with it. Forget fighting your enemies when you could just cast Stop and then dress them up in the most embarrassing outfit imaginable. When the spell wore off, you'd have Hasted/Warped several hundred miles away and they'd be the laughingstock of the town. The ideal magic for the ultimate prankster, indeed. 'Course, Meteo would serve as a nice offensive backup.

hahaha...why wouldn't you want to be a summoner? I mean, look at what they can do. Sure, they may not act directly in a battle, but to be able to summon is just beyond amazing. yeah, i'd be a summoner.

That's actually a hard one to answer. Well, white mages pretty much are the summoners as well, whether they change it through the various games or not. Black mage would be great as well, because you get to use powerful offensive after powerful offensive (i.e. - in IX: Flare, Flare, Flare, Flare, Flare, Flare
But because you people -forced- me to choose, then I'll go with a summoner. I just want so much to summon Alexander from IX or Valefor and just hug them (although it would be hard to hug Alexander). And I really want to take a ride on Bahamut or Leviathan. And if I could summon Carbuncle, I'd never let him leave. But the best thing would be to summon Neo Bahamut (or Bahamut Zero, forgot which one is more powerful). But then I'd want to be a black mage, cause they have Ultima, Flare, and the -ga attacks (Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga, Waterga); with Red Mage close behind. I think that's just cause I want white hair like Sephy and Setzer. It's so hard to decide on these things! But yeah, definitely summoner first. A summoner from Madain Sari...love those horns. -------------------- You know why FFVIII sucks? It's pretty much this: 'Hey, look here's a really tough boss that levels up as we level up. We can't use any items without having to equip GFs, so let's equip 'em. Oh, and while we're at it, let's Junction 50,000 HP and kill the thing.' If you ask me, that was one of the worst FF games ever, alongside X-2. |
