Ok it is quite simple, who is you favorite TV character of all-time?
With me I have a long list to deal with, Homer Simpson, Al Bundy, Cosmo Kramer, etc. However in my mind the greatest ever is Det. Andy Sipowicz from NYPD Blue. I mean the guy is great and the coolest ever. I will never forget his quote from the first ever episode of Blue when he told the District Attorney Possible spoilers: highlight to view Ipsa to this (grabs his crotch) you prissy little b!@ch. Then he goes and marries her later ![]() This post has been edited by BGrugby on 6th May 2004 20:06 -------------------- War is for the participants a test of character; it makes bad men worse and good men better. - Joshua Chamberlain U sir R a n00b >:-( - Cactuar |

I recently saw "Pirates of the Carribean". Johnny Depp in his best role so far as Captain Jack Sparrow.
I head they denied him the Oscar he deserved because the character was slightly gay. That's what's good about it, people! A gay pirate captain! From DISNEY! How can you not love it! Technically he's not a TV character but a movie character, but I'm enthousiastic enough to not mind. This post has been edited by Djibriel on 6th May 2004 20:08 -------------------- |

Bender. The robot. He is hilarious. There is this one episode where he steals everything at this mansion (One eye for a cyclops or something like that) . Then the following scene occurs:
FRY: Bender, come with me to the forrbiden valley. I'm sure there'll be treaures and jewels. BENDER: I think I've finally stollen enough in my life. FRY: AHHHH! *Slaps bender* SNAP OUT OF IT! BENDER: OH MY GOD! That was the worst moment of my life, I actually thought I was serious... Also Peter and Brian and stewie from Family Guy, they were all funny. Same with Doctor Zoidberg, Vash, Inuyasha, Miroku, Chippo (SQUIRREL!), and the proffesor from Futurama (Name?). There probably hasn't ever been a TV character I didn't like. -------------------- "We're not tools of the government or anyone else. ![]() Ok, probably Bender from Futurama, Peter/Stewie from Family Guy, Homer from the Simpsons, Cartman from South Park, or Kane/Undertaker from WWE (if they count). |

Captain Murphy from Sealab 2021. The most amazingly funny character ever, topping a long list that includes Count Blah (Greg the Bunny), Byron (Andy Richter Controls the Universe), and Stewie (Family Guy) at the top.

Quote (Ramza Beoulve @ 6th May 2004 17:53) Urkel from Family Matters, Homer Simpson, Al Bundy, and Screech. Wow...how could I have forgotten Urkel? Put him down for me too. Also the gold ranger from Power Rangers too, and the Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog. That was an awesome show, and they had to cancel it ![]() |

Bruce Campbell, whether he was playing Brisco County, Jr. in said show or Autolycus in Hercules/Xena. Too bad we don't see more of him...

Nearly a no-brainer... I'm going with Captain Picard (c'mon, am I the only Trekkie here?) I admire all the Starfleet captains, really, almost to the point of having them as role models. Picard probably tops them all in my mind, though - he has such an eloquent way of opening a can of sheer whoop-ass on anyone while barely ever even raising his voice. Some of his speeches still move me after all these years.
I do also agree that Captain Murphy completely rules too though. One of the most hilarious cartoon characters I've ever seen, and it's a bloody shame his voice actor is gone now. Here's to ya, Harry Goz! |

There probably hasn't ever been a TV character I didn't like. His name is Farnsworth, i believe. Butters from South Park definately Not really related to butters, but i thought id add this dialog from southpark (episode Pinkeye) (Chef walks in to the mayors office) Mayor: Why chef! Cop: Your probably wondering why we're standing here with no pants on and a big pile of cash. Chef: Not really. Cop: Well i can assure you it has nothing to do with the Japanese Yakuza. Not a thingy dingy. Mayor: Thats absolutely right. Chef: whatever. (leaves). Cop: Well lets get back to it. I laugh every time i see that part. Alan Shore from The Practice- One time, a judge told him, "I don't like you Mr. Shore. You ooze smug." And an invitation to a party told him to bring a significant other, so he brought a hooker.
Cosmo Kramer- How can you NOT like him? He's an idiot! Plus he knows a good (or bad) cantaloupe when he sees one.
