I asked that question in May...in the meantime, I've subscribed to GameFAQs. Trust me, I know all about stupidity

Celes and Terra casting Cure3/Life3/Haste2, Sabin BumRushing, and Mog jumping with Boots/Horn/Holy lance. Too easy to beat Kefka, I was too lazy to even bother with the Economizer, Offering, Crusader or Ultima and it was still over quick. Almost healed him back up just to hear the music for a while longer...

Celes - Illumia, best armor, generally the tank.
Setzer - I dunno why I put him here. He functioned as a healer unless he had a spare moment to use Fixed Dice. Sabin - Bum Rush. Goes great with... Gogo - ...to mimic it. He also used healing spells when Setzer couldn't. |

Usually I draw the battle out (Kicking the crap outta Kefka... gotta love it) using my best chars (Sabin, Mog, Shadow, Strago)
But if I'm in a rush to see the endings I whip the Atma weapon at him, quick death for Kefky ^-^. I usually just use my assault squad............
Edgar (Genji+Offering) Terra (Dragoon Boots+Dragon Horn) Celes (Quick+Ultima) Locke (Whatever I Feel Like Doing, gosh!) And, every once in a while I put in Cyan, because he rocks |

Terra with morphing, the gem box, an un-glitched economizer, and Ultima
Celes with a hero ring, another un-glitched economizer, Quick, and Ultima Strago with a hero ring, a third un-glitched economizer, and Grand Train Cyan with a genji glove, the offering, the Sky Render, and the Strato I'm not the hugest fan of leveling up, so I had only one character with Quick and none with Merton when I fought K-dog. -------------------- |

I used the default three characters to defeat him, Celes, Setzer and Edgar, I equipped fixed dice with offering, Celes using Golem and cure 2 and Edgar using Kirin and hitting kefka with the Aura lance, but normally I use Setzer , Terra, Locke and Strago

Just beat him for the second time. Unfortunately, I hit 'save state load' instead of 'screenshot' and promptly missed the ending and noticed I'd lost a few weeks' worth of levelling and questing, having dropped from having 4 Lv99 characters and everyone else above 60 and having everything done to having just got all my characters in the WoR and being Lv74. Sucks to be me.
Anyhow, I beat Kefka with a team of Cyan, Gau, Terra and Gogo. Gogo was on X-Magic Ultima (2x9999 dealt)/Cure 3 duty, Terra was on attacking (2-3x 9999 dealt) and status recovery duty, Wind God Gau was damage dealing, and Cyan was Quadra Slicing as my main damage dealer. Heh, overlevelling. Can't go wrong. The equipment I can remember - Cyan - Genji Glove + Something else, Scimitar + Sky Render, Genji Armour. Gau - Offering + Merit Award, Tempest, Snow Muffler. Gogo - Economizer + Gem Box. Terra - Genji Glove + Economizer, Atma Weapon, Illumina. I'm so annoyed. My team was downright godly. This post has been edited by Mimic on 5th February 2005 16:47 |

I´m the kinda guy who beefs my party up as much as possible before mauling the Big Boss of the game. So I simply use this strategy, ´course using my favourite party:
Edgar: Ultima x 2, Cure3 Sabin: Ultima, Bum Rush Cyan: Cure3, Quadra Slice Gogo: Mime, Ultima, Cure3 Commonly used Relics: Ribbon, Economizer & Gem Box Edgar starts off with two Ultimas, which are mimicked by Gogo = Ultima x 4. Sabin prepares with a Megalixir to counter the Fallen One attack. During these attacks, Cyan starts loading up his SwdTech ´til it reaches 7 and mauls Kefka bigtime. Next round, Edgar either uses Ultima x 2 again, or changes to Ultima & Cure3 when needed. Gogo then mimicks that too, while Sabin either uses Ultima or Bum Rush and Cyan prepares for SwdTech: 7 again. Phew!
