I'm going with the DS version myself. It kinda rocks my socks, what with the actually pretty good voice acting and the fact that you get to see Yang stomp a couple guys into the pavement.

Which version is your favorite, and (the all-important addendum) why?

To answer a question with a question. What's with these polls about each game? Aren't they all great in their own way?

There's some people out there without that much preference for innuendo. It also feels like it creates an unneccesary bias towards games.

I suppose you want to engage in small talk which is ok. I'd like to take the variety over speciality.

Heh, this is an interesting time to ask this question, for me. I've played at least part of all of the versions listed in the poll, as well as some parts of the Japanese Easytype. I would say that my current favorite is Game Boy Advance, hilariously not in the poll despite there being plenty of room for it. It doesn't deviate too far from the tried-and-true FF4, but the added content freshens it up a bit. I did enjoy the DS version as far as I've played it so far (up to Baigan), but I just don't prefer it to the other handheld options.

I have yet to play more than an hour or so of the PSP Complete Collections. Honestly, once I do, I expect that it will supplant the GBA version at the top of my list.

I got the complete collection and I absolutely love it. I think I've played every version but the DS and Easy Type.

I'd like to play the DS version someday, but I don't have a DS and no real big plans of ever getting one. Maybe, I'd like... but that stuff isn't free! I hear it's ball bustingly difficult, like a good bit worse than the original Japanese version and it certainly required some grinding.

I like the SNES version, because I have a hipster side and always like to play the original. I am quite fond of the extra GBA content as well, for the same reasons as R51.

DS has the best translation, content, graphics, and sound, no competition!

DS Version. It's fun and best translation yet. Also very hard. I failed to get the right augments early on so I ended up not getting Dualcast which makes the game much harder. Never beat it yet

GBA version. Select moon party FTW, and the extra dungeon is great.

DS version. I just love the music too much and has the best translation.
