An expansion pack for FFXI is coming out this fall, called Chains of Promathia. According to the press release found at playonline.com , it will change FFXI in "ways not before imagined".

According to OPM (offical playstation magazine), over 500K play FFXI worldwide and it has been out in Japan since 2002. Another question is if it will be the last expn. pak. I haven't played FFXI yet, though.

It probably won't be the last expansion pack. I think it's only 20% done. Can't wait for the new expansion to come out to see what teh new areas are....
