this is very important. Punky Brewster was a mega popular show (and cartoon) starring Soleil-Moon Frye in the 80s. More recently costarred on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch.

I used to love Punky Brewster (the TV show and cartoon). I remember that I had gotten paper dolls of the cartoon version at (the now defunct) Gemco. Of the two, I liked the cartoon version better (at least, at the time). Although, I really liked Henry in the TV show. I want a magical animal thing like Glomer (WTF was he?).
I still (kinda) remember the theme song. Of Punky's friends, I liked Cherie better than Margo (who was kind of a brat). -------------------- kame, tortue, tortuga, schildkröte, tartaruga, turtle "Arthur Dent?" "Yes." "Arthur Philip Dent?" "Yes." "You're a total knee biter." |

Aw sweet! Punky Brewster! I used to love this show. It taught me never to close myself inside a refridgerator. Now that's a lifelong lesson I will never forget!

Thank God Kame and Hanyou actually gave your topic a purpose, Terra, or it would be closed by now.
Oh, and Frye also did a one-ep guest spot on "Friends" as Joey's girlfriend who punched just a little too hard. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

Ha! R51, I didn't even recognize her, but I guess it was Soleil. *Laughs heartily. Anyway, I liked the cartoon better. When I wanted cheap sentimentality, I could watch Webster or Small Wonder. Punky Brewster I turned to for magical hijinx.

Yup, that's the one episode of that show I remember. Didn't she have a friend named Cherry? -------------------- The clouds ran away, opened up the sky And one by one I watched every constellation die And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star I should've known, walked all the way home To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone -Atmosphere "Always Coming Back Home to You" |
