Not officially, of course. The latest version of SNES Advance (Formerly called PocketSNES) now runs Final Fantasy 3 v1.0. It may not run it perfectly, I haven't checked, but it runs it.
For those who don't know, SNES Advance is a SNES emulator for Game Boy Advance. SNES ROMs can be written a person's flash cartridge and played on a GBA at any time. Even better news: Since it runs v1.0, you can also play my hack anytime you want, since I made it on a v1.0 ROM. http://snes.pocketheaven.com Enjoy. Edit Oh yeah, forgot to mention...as of yet, SNES Advance has no sound capabilities, as playing sounds in SNES's format would take up too much of GBA's hardware memory and make games run very slowly, so if you can deal with no sound, go for it! But then wouldn't they have to start selling roms somehow, since technically you can't own them unless you own the actual game? And how do you download the rooms onto the GBA, i know you said they can be written on the flash cartridge, but how do you get them on there?

SNES Advance takes SNES ROMs and compresses them into a single GBA ROM file.
It's great because you can have several SNES ROMs on one GBA file, and switch between them easily through the emulator's on-screen GUI. The emulator is a newborn, though, and a lot of things may be buggy. However, FF3v1.0 is "playable" on their listing. |

So has anyone tried it? I did and it did not work. Just got a jumbled mess in the vague shape of the FF6 title screen.

Make sure you're using the latest versions of the SNES Advance files. They update constantly to be able to play new games.

This is very interesting. Just one question though, how do you emulate the X and Y buttons?
