The only FF Legend I played was Legend II.I'd say it was pretty good but not great...I own it but if I had known what it was gonna be like I probably wouldn't have bought it.So yeah I would say that I liked it but it wasn't good enough to buy.

I played Legend I and II when I spent a summer at my grandparents with no consoles. Don't go into it expecting to be blown away like a SNES or PS Final Fantasy, but as far as game boy games go, (old school, not advance) it's a decently engrossing (if a bit unoriginal) rpg.

Legends was quite enjoyable for me back when I played it during my youth. I especially enjoyed the monster meat that would randomly be dropped and turn whomever ate it into a different creature depending on what you chose for them to start as..... when I was little it was thoroughly engrossing mainly due to that aspect--I would pick different classes in order to see if I could randomly get an über-powerful result from the meat...... Of course, I could just be remembering the game to be a lot better than it actually was...

Final Fantasy Legend III is a great game in my book. It's surprisingly deep with a number of options, plot twists, and other various novelties. It's right up there with FFIV as far as I'm concerned.

It's not a true FF either, the FF Legend games are all part of the SaGa series.

The GameBoy FFs are not actual FFs, they were just given the name during translation so they woud sell better. FF Legends are actually SaGa, and Adventure was Seiken Densetsu, iirc.
I've only played Legends I, and it was pretty cool, especially after figuring out where certain things were (that thing in the library, the raft, some of the doors). It had more party possibilities than FFI, III, and V combined, though trying to figure out how to (and whether to) level Mutants and Monsters got kinda weird.
I played very little of Adventure, and I loved it.
