I've been playing FF6 on my emulator for something to do and I can't figure out Sabin's blitz combo against Vargas =/

Yeah, I know. Lame. Uh, someone want to help me here? I know it's left, right, left, enter button (or whatever you want to call it), but I can't get it to work. The rom's not faulty or anything either.

Help meh?

[EDIT] - By help, I mean tell me when to input the directional sequence and when to press enter, when to do it during the flashes, etc.

I've never got past Mt. Koltz and I can't wait until the weekend to play FFA.

The first time i played this i had trouble as well, select blitz and wait until u see the hand pointing at Sabin then do the left, right, left, combo. And hit enter (or whatever) If it still doesnt work then check your controls for the eumlator, something may have set itself for 2 functions or reverted to default. It may sound weird but its happened to me before.

What do you mean 'hand'. The finger cursor that points at Sabin when you press-select Blitz?

And I made sure the controls were set to seperate letters. I considered making all of them on one to get the job done in one key, but you can't do that for som reason.

I think I'm starting to get it though. You have to do the combination before you make him do it? =/

There's a great key by key guide in the CoN's FF6 FAQ. This same problem plagued me when I first played the game, too.

I did it! Thanks Neal and Strife. I couldn't have figured it out without you guys. I know playing on roms is publicly decried and such, but I plan on getting FFAnthology this weekend or next, so I can enjoy the game I've been waiting to play for years!

Hehe, the rom messes up when you talk to Bannon, sleep, or use the save point w/ tent in the Returners' Hideout. How's that for irony?

Don't feal bad. For the longest time I didn't get Blitz atacks either but now I use them instead of basic attacks (because they are SO easy to use and are more powerful) How did you turn your font red?

Yeah, I've been perplexed about how to do it for the longest time. I read strategy guides and FAQs hoping they'd tell me, but it wasn't covered in-depth anywhere except here. The rom messes up at Returners' Hideout anyway, so I guess I'll have to either find a new rom or wait until I get FFAnthology.

Oh yeah, and to turn your font a color use this:

[color=****] TEXT GOES HERE [/ color]


Substitute '****' for a color and make sure you capitalize it. Also, take out the space in the [/ color] part so that the tag will close.
