Quote (Glenn Magus Harvey @ 1st April 2007 22:20) However, I've started playing Nethack, and it is WAY too addicting. Too much replay value in such a little game means that I have spent hours upon hours trying to even get past dungeon level 19 or so...and failing miserably most of the time. Yet I still come back for more. I'm crazy, yes. Have a look for Zangband and give it a shot. It's very similare, I believe. My mutant chaos warrior chick is an insane force of death and hotness. I've been busying myself programming quite a lot more now that I have the webornet back and can look up reference material, but I also am trying to get a no sphere/no summon/no customization game going in FFX. So far so good! -------------------- "Judge not a man by his thoughts and words, but by the quality and quantity of liquor in his possession and the likelyhood of him sharing." |

At the moment, pretty much just Lord of the Rings Online.
Also, in the downtimes on that game, there's some Super Paper Mario and Guitar Hero 2 going on. -------------------- With the lights out It's less dangerous |

Overdosing on dueling Dracula in Dracula X, Nethack, Tower Defense (and various variants), and playing Catan, Mao, and several other games with friends has gotten me a bit sick of gaming lately.
Hopefully I'll be clean long enough for me to catch up with my schoolwork. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. After getting all fifteen weapons, all ten Gold weapons, and twenty-eight out of thirty Skill Points, I've decided that it's time to take a break from Ratchet and Clank. I just reached the testing facility stage in Going Commando, and so far I like Ratchet's new voice actor (wtf it's Tidus) and I love the new weapons and gameplay tweaks*, but I'm not feeling the same magic from the new stages and the storyline isn't quite as smooth-moving as the first game. Ah well, it's definitely fun, and maybe the storyline gets better later on.
*The Bouncer is at least eight or nine different kinds of awesome. It's like the Banana Bomb from Worms, only it kicks more ass. Also, being able to strafe is a welcome addition. This post has been edited by laszlow on 23rd April 2007 23:00 -------------------- |

If [first spoiler] is anything like the [first spoiler - II] from the first game, then I'm definitely looking forward to it. Of course, it costs a million bolts while everything else costs maybe fifty thousand bolts, so it will have to wait. Now, the [second spoiler] hasn't shown up in shops yet, but I think I should probably start saving up for it soon, heh.

OK, I'm officially a Ratchet and Clank fanboy now. It's just a weapons-oriented platformer that satisfies my Mega Man itch. I just finished Going Commando, which I liked about the same as the original but for different reasons. I bought Up Your Arsenal earlier today, and holy ****. So far it's absolutely phenomenal.
Oh, and DCR, the Heavy Bouncer is still my favorite weapon in Going Commando. the Plasma Storm is *really* useful in many situations, but it's not as satisfying as setting off thirteen massive explosions at once. I never bought the RYNO II, but I will when I inevitably start a Challenge Mode playthrough eventually. -------------------- |

Update:
One word: Final Fantasy XII. It hath melted my brain THAT much. Seriously, though, if i'm not at work-1, work-2, or school, I'm playing FFXII til I have to sleep. Only with the exception that occasionally my roommate wants to break out the guitar heroes, in which case, I put down the controller, and don the guitar, pwn her til she's not interested anymore, and then, controller back in hand, it's back to FFXII. And for those who missed it: yes I have a chick roommate, and she will kick ur butt at GH. Not to be sexist, but here goes anyways, she is the best girl I know at guitar hero (1 & 2), and that's the only modern game she plays. She'll break out the Mario Kart 64 on my Wii once in awhile, but she mostly sticks to the music. Which strangely means I think I just updated on what games my roommate is currently playing at the moment. ![]() -------------------- If internal struggles were as enjoyable and glamorous as the self conflicted wars within video game characters, we would all be statues, reveling in perpetual self war. -Me Play me on Rock Band 2, GH-WT, or any other Xbox GH! I offically added Pokemon: Diamond to my list.
Which means I'm making custom GH2 songs, on top of trying to beat it on expert, while playing FFXII. And I have a Wii I pretty much don't even use anymore. ![]() But when Super Metroid comes out, I'm all over that again! -------------------- If internal struggles were as enjoyable and glamorous as the self conflicted wars within video game characters, we would all be statues, reveling in perpetual self war. -Me Play me on Rock Band 2, GH-WT, or any other Xbox GH! Quote (CrzyMonk3y @ 30th April 2007 20:52) Im Done Playing WoW, now im currently playing: FFXII Rivera: The Promised Land I'm proud of you for quitting, do your best to stay away. If you think about it objectively the game really isn't all that fun, and quite repetitive. If you need some extra motivation to stay away always check www.wowdetox.com it's quite a hilarious site. On another note, my games are currently FFVIa Super Smash Brothers Melee I need suggestions for a bigger game to undertake, I can't get into anything at the moment, anyone have some good RPG suggestions? Systems available are the PS2, Nin DS, Wii, and of course the PC (and emulators). -------------------- Adma <3 CoN |

This just in: Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal is one of the best games on the PS2. It's really, really, really good. It's the best playing, most hilarious, and largest game in the main series, and even if you've never played a R&C game before you should go and play it as soon as you can. I haven't had this much fun with a platformer in years.
And the strafe-lock 3rd-person shooting/platforming system is one of the best ever. It's so good that it's too good for the four XOTS buttons. -------------------- |

Currently playing the Shuffle Dungeon on Blue Dragon. The achievments are driving me crazy, too... I could have SWORN I completed the stage 1 and 2 Mechat shooting events with no damage, and therefore should have gotten the achievements for them, BUT THEY'RE NOT UNLOCKED!! ;_;!!
*tries to figure out what she did wrong* Also still playing a round of FF9, becuase that game owns my soul. |

::ponders whether to play ff9 or ff8:: any suggestions?
Also FFVIa is really badass, doing my complete as can be runthrough atm, then I'm going to do a CES challenge which should take me a while considering I can't savestate =D. So which game, ff8 or ff9? ::slaps forehead:: I forgot everyone here hates ff8, so I'll play it anyway, add it to my list of games played. -------------------- Adma <3 CoN |

I've been playing The Sims 2: Pets which is really really fun. Except the animals can be quite a bother since they won't look after themselves, run away, get dragged back by the police, and start the cycle all over again. The cats are worse than the dogs.
I also started Lufia 4 over. It's not as great as Lufia 2, but it's really fun and even though you don't fight the Sinistrals it still remains true to the Lufia series. I'm still playing Final Fantasy X (I've been at it forever!). I always get stuck at the stupid bosses and this latest one has really got me stumped. Yunalesca is THE most aggrivating boss ever! I've been playing pro evo 6, it's great. Not sure if many people here have it, but if you like football, I'd definatly advise it.
I've also been having the occasional go on FF12. -------------------- In the end, it boils down to two simple choices. Either you do or you don't. |

I'm currently playing Pokemon Pearl along with trying to defeat Dullahan in GS2 and playing SSBM with friends in my spare time.
Other games I've been dying to play again: Valkyrie Profile. I need to get a new copy. Thank goodness that the price actually seems to have gone down. Maybe this time this copy won't cop out on me when I try to enter a very important Hard Mode dungeon... -------------------- |

The shopping center that houses the Gamestop nearest my house is being torn down to fit in a Best Buy and a DSW shoes. The only stores that are surviving are a pizza place, a Vietnamese nail salon, and an Old Country Buffet.
But that means that this past weekend that Gamestop had a sale with 20% off all new and used games. I bought Ratchet: Deadlocked, God of War II, Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time, The GC version of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Okami. I'll be playing those four a whole lot over the next few weeks/months. -------------------- |
