I'm playing Final Fantasy VII, and trying to get Fia's ending on Riviera: The Promised Land.

Ugh. Don't bother getting different endings in Riviera. All it changes are which girl takes center stage for the last sequence of events and the final artwork you obtain right as the credits start to roll. I had a save near the middle of the game, and I played through the game's second half twice, once getting Serene's, and a second time getting Cierra's. I was so unimpressed by how similar the endings were, I ditched Riviera for good. If you really want to see all five of those artworks (yes, there are five... the fifth character is sort of a secret) then just search the net.

Update:

I beat Trauma Center: SO...
YES... I was drinking... whatever... I'm a big kid now. (Hoooooray 21!)
It unlocked Extreme mode.
I got pwned like a noob...
I'm now 1/4 done with the Extremes, but strangely, I have to do those sober tongue.gif

As for the retro wii...

I died in my Toejam and Earl game... Annoyingly frustrating dry.gif

MarioKart 64 - 2 more golds... and then: backwards world!!!

I downloaded Super Mario World, and with sleep, work, and school involved, 100%ed it in less than 24 hours. thumbup.gif

Finally figuring out how to box on Wii sports. Wii Fitness age is now 29, and updated daily.

Got the doom axe for my FFV SCCC emu game.

Waiting for an opportunity to not be at work to buy FFVIA

I used to have that game for my nintendo emu! I thought I was the only person who knew it existed! I also recently discovered that I can also download that game on my Wii. I don't know if a puzzle game is worth $5 tho...

Kingdom Hearts II!

I was all about that game when it came out. The most important thing about it: USE YOUR DRIVES! It's not so much a spoiler, but let it be known that they level amazing, it's worth it for what it will do to you outside of the drives, and you only get the final form if you use the others. The final form owns. With good weapons, I don't think there is a single boss, save the last, that you can't beat in less than 10 seconds. (Sephiroth is one-on-one, so that's out, but as a hint: you have a single-person trinity. That's how I did him in.) thumbup.gif

Haha, I've been playing it nonstop. How unhealthy...

TIME - 46 hours
LV - 80

This is so bloody addictive! tongue.gif

I battled Sephiroth with Sweet Memories, he was easy - I got the first of his health bar down before dying. So I presume he won't provide too much of a challenge besides healing fairly frequently when I synthesize Ultima Weapon, although I'm probably wrong. laugh.gif

I checked out KH again (played it before KH2 though, and completed), it really sucks in comparison to KH2.

And I've leveled all my drives, summons - besides Final, the way you level in that has put me off bothering yet.

KHII's Sephiroth can still be pretty nasty. But yes, at high levels w/Ultima Weapon, it shouldn't be all that difficult. What path did you pick?

Metal Gear (NES). Damn it's good. Although the death to screen ratio is about 2:1, the MG music it plays easily makes up for it. I'm really looking forward to the fist-fight-on-a-minefield boss fight I've heard so much about.

Finally, after 5 years of owning the game, I finished Baldur's Gate II smile.gif .

Probably end up playing it again soon, but, for now, I've gone backward: Baldur's Gate I! Hadn't played that one in, well, 5 years, so I had forgotten how good it was.

Well, the plot-endings are all the same like that, but each has a unique epilogue that was maybe four or five lines and a portrait. After I saw Cierra's and Serene's, I checked online for the other three, because I figured it wasn't worth it to finish it three more times.

I happen to be playing a co-op game of Final Fantasy Tactics with a friend of mine, whenever he drops by - He controls two generic characters, and I control Ramza and two generics (one generic in story battles that limit you to four characters). So far, it's been interesting, and my friend has had to replace one of his characters who, sadly, was killed in the storyline battle at Sweegy Woods.

I chose defense of course. I somewhat regret it and wish to have maybe chosen magic, considering Power + Defense boosts are easy to synthesize, and because magic is sort of overpowered.

Sephiroth was easy, although I died against him six times in total - I wouldn't say he was hard. Sure: he's the only enemy in the game to have caused me that many game overs, he double my game over amount - BUT (this is a big but) he didn't require luck, more so strategy and planning.

Oh yes... without those four abilities - no Fenrir
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
(Sin Harvest would've gotten to me).

Equiped Oblivion (ain't got no Ultima yet, can't be bothered just yet) and Elixir, Curaga. Rearrange abilities to suit such a fight (thank god for Glide, High Jump, Aerial Dodge, Quick Run - I can only guess... but without them he'd be easy).

My stats: LV 86
STR 61
MAG 57
DEF 68
Normal Mode (I'm sure Proud Mode he'd be harder, but I chose the default difficulty)

That's basically how simple planning is... I think I may have struggled against him in KH, but in KHII I wasn't struggling, more so getting caught up in that tune playing in the background... OR he was attacking me in a combo and teleported to continue attacking before my handy dandy Aerial Dodge came into effect - being able to stop Sin Harvest really made it easier than KH (unless you could in KH).

Little disappointed with how easy he was but how fun he was makes up for it. Oh, how I wish that they gave him... say 7 or so more health bars. biggrin.gif

Anyway, that's my de-briefing... feel satisfaction out of beating up what I used to think was a gay Sephiroth, but he is kind of cool...

Oh, and this post IS related. ZOMG! Still playing Kingdom Hearts II, makes I look really bad... I wonder if KHIII will be any good...?

*breathes in, loud sigh* Now THAT is a fun game.

Just got my Wii today.  smile.gif  Now to find another wiimote and nunchuck attachment.  Blah.

An extra $60 for a controller and such (40 for Wiimote, 20 for chuck) is too much for me... so I came up with an idea (still need to put it into effect tho):

So my new roommate has ppl over alot to hang out and such, and they all want to try the Wii, so I was thinking... charge them whatever change they have in their pockets! It's not much, but it will build up over time. So I'm looking for the most perfectly awesome jar, and i'm gonna call it...

ready?

my Wii-Fund!! tongue.gif tongue.gif

Anyway, back on topic:
Another Update:
Downloaded Kirby's Adventure for my Wii monday night.
100%ed it last night.

I did find a copy of FFVIA and then remembered that the other reason I never finished the rom was that it bores me after awhile. (the story is too slow!) So I've been wading waist deep in the sluggish swamp of story that is VI and finally got to the point where Locke is back in Figaro, and that is the 1st of the 3 stories I have to finish.

I bought an SD card for my Wii... Which I reccommend everyone does, because I compared sizes on things, and much to my dissappointment:
The Wii starts stock with like, 2500 blocks (or something like that).
My 1Gb SD card started stock with 7000 blocks (ouch) pinch.gif

So the Wii has incredibly sissy internal storage. Why couldn't they have followed suit with Xbox and chucked like the 40 or 60 Gb drive in it? I would truly fill the title of "Super Machine" if they had...

FFV emu: trying to buy an angel ring so that my spells work against Sol Cannon in my Single Character game.

I think everything else is where it was at.

Ummm... The XBox 360 premium version only has a 20 GB harddrive, while the PS3 has either 20 or 60.... Whatever. I still don't think that any of the three new systems is worth buying yet, especially since they'll be cheaper, have more games, more content, more peripherals, and in greater quantities in a year or two.

And by the way, I'm playing Ocarina of Time (finally made it out of that Water Temple....), FF VI Advance, and Rogue Galaxy.

In FFVIa, I'm at Mobliz in Sabin's Scenario

Hrm, I've been playing Dirge of Cerberus. I'm quite pleased with it so far and I'm nearing the end (chapter... 12 I think?) I'm playing on normal at the moment though, so... nothing too fancy right now.

I've also started a new game in Romancing SaGa III after bringing it up in the FF2 thread. Man. I'm really amazed at this game - I've forgotten just how awesome it is.

Not only does it have a system like FF2 for level ups and weapons/spells (bash it if you will, but I still think it's the most innovative non-EXP based system yet!) but you can have up to over 30 characters. And most amazing of all is that, when someone dies, they die permanently. Gone. Not in the game anymore. Buried and forgotten. And the scenario goes along with it. To make things even better, the game is 100% open-ended - you do what you want when you want. There is no path to follow through the game at all (save for the opening, and you also have to beat 4 guardians to be able to get to the last area, though the order you do it in and which places you go to in-between is purely up to you.)

Wow. Seriously, the game engine tops even most modern games with its innovations, versatility, and freedom of play. Seriously: wow. I'm absolutely crushed that there aren't any more games as well designed as this one. It's a shame it never made it here. :x

The rest of my time has been occupied by IRL stuff, that FFV hack, and Endless Saga (dev without the internet is difficult. Very difficult. :x I have very little reference material on my PC and the win32 API is very, very vast.)

Tales of Phantasia Full Voice Edition: Just killed Gnome. I freaking hate Gnome. And now I have to go and get Maxwell, who's also quite irritating to fight. And go through the really annoying Morlia Gallery...well, from what I remember, the game got a lot less annoying after this part.

Golden Sun: Venus Lighthouse. I wish they published a soundtrack for this game.

Final Fantasy VI Advance: Still have to do the bonus dungeon. But I've already done it before, so I'm in no hurry to play through it all right this second. I'm just happy to have got to play FFVI again.

Star Ocean 3: I've been trying to kill Universe mode Freya in under 15 minutes. Not very successful, so far...I'm lazy, and don't want to trek back to the nearest town to do more item creation. And I need to farm more Synthesis materials too, since I screwed up on trying to make a new 'ultimate weapon' for Sophia. I didn't even know there were stones that could increase your INT by 1,000...

Ever played Fire Emblem? Does the same thing except that the person can only die once and then they're dead for good and it's as if they'd never existed.

I finally gave in and downloaded Chrono Trigger. It's pretty and I think I'm addicted. So far I'm in Lab 16 in the "Beyond the Ruins" part.

I also started my Pokemon FireRed version. I've been so bored what with all the snow and stuff that I've played over 10 hours in 2 days.

Unreal Tournament 2004 right now. No game has ever made me as scared as this one. On one of the levels, you fight on a skyscraper that stretches into space (suitably epic!). Before the game began I flew the little camera as far into space as I could before the air in my lungs evaporated and I had to turn round and go back. Then in the game I was shot off the building - falling back down to Earth is terrifying as well... Then there's another arena on an asteroid floating around Earth. There are times I had to pause the game and remember that I was still in my living room, not falling through space. Man that really freaks me out.

Counter-Strike : Source, Still
Final Fantasy VI Advanced : I beat the game but... yeah.. Dragon's Den, ya know?
Kingdom Hearts II : I'm trying to get 100% Journal, which proves to be more tedious than I thought.

Good news though, I quit WoW... Yay!

I beat Ocarina of Time last night (after the Water Temple everything just seemed easier), and I'm taking another break from Rogue Galaxy to try out a PS2 game that I've owned for months but have barely touched yet, so I'm mixing it up again.

So that means I'm playing one game with a protagonist that's silent and heroic (Wind Waker), one game with a protagonist that's a whiny prick (Tales of the Abyss), and one game in which the identity of the main protagonist is a subject of debate (Final Fantasy VI Advance). Amusing, no?

Somebody mentioned X-Box 360 having gigs of memory earlier. This is from the system specs for the 360 from the official website:

Quote
Memory
512 MB GDDR3 RAM
Unified memory architecture
Note

Because the Xbox 360 system software uses some of the memory from the hard drive and memory unit when installed, less than the stated memory is available to the user.

Anyway, I'm still enthralled with World of Warcraft. Playing on Blackwater Raiders now, lvl 35 human rogue. I'm interested in trying Star Wars: Galaxies in the near future. If anyone is involved with it, PM me. smile.gif

Don't worry laszlow, Luke becomes much more tolerable about 30% through the game. Guy is still better though.

ToP FVA: Collecting Basilisk Scales. >_>; It takes forever just to run into one of these things, let alone get a dropped item from them. And I need five of them. Way to go, game designers. I don't remember if it took this long in the SNES or GBA versions.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age: I got a boat.

Final Fantasy VI Advance: Dragon's Den.
