Cloud's Limit only works if he has the Materia Blade. All fine and good, but there's only one of these blades, right? Can it be broken or stolen? I would think not, cuz that would really suck if you built up his Limit abilities, only to have them permanently taken away.

Just something I wondered about, but enver found any mention of. Not had the chance to test it myself yet.

Like any blade, it can be broken or stolen. But you have other opportunities for getting it, mainly by fighting Ninjas with Catch equiped : I obtained a lot of Materia Blades while I was trying to get some Chiriliraden without resorting to item duping.

Well, that's a relief. Still seems like a pain to get extra's though. Not that I use cloud much, but even still. Its one thing to have one's skillset be reliant on swords in general, but one specific sword? Personally, I don't think Cloud's so great that his reliance on one type of rare blade is worth the trouble should it get destroyed/stolen. Course you could just equip him with Maintanance... course that means you gotta forfiet giving him short charge...
bleh...

Anyhoo, thanks for the tip, if I lose Cloud's blade, I'll know where to go.

I'm not quite sure of this (because equipping the Materia Blade, for me, never had any huge difference in the battle), but if you put Two Swords on Cloud, putting the Materia Blade in the second slot, you can have more firepower whilst still attaining the right to use Limit.

Someone can check up on that if they wish (Mr. Thou?).

Well, you could, but if you did that, you wouldn't have Short Charge, and Cloud's Limits aren't very good without it anyway. As a side note, the best Limit is Finish Touch.

Yeah, for the speed of Finish Touch, 100% Stop/Death/Petrify status infliction, it's certainly a the most useful ability in his skillset. It's certainly more efficient than Cherry Blossom, for example, just for the sheer fact it 'kills' the enemy in a fourth of the time.

But yes, Short Charge is practically made for Cloud. I, myself, wouldn't swap it for Two Swords, because he can't equip any Knight Swords anyway, but if you just want to murder things, by all means, do go right ahead.

Take advantage of his Ribbon-equipping too >=]

use the two swords cloning technique, i usually do it with excaliber, but i am sure it works for materia blade, plus it would cost much
