What I'd do, Zechs, is I'd download a music program, (Noteworthy Composer, Finale 2004) and open a MIDI file of the [Final Fantasy] song you want to play. On either of these two programs, it will open the MIDI file as sheet music. Then, you just take the parts that you wanna play of the song, maybe do some minor editing, print, and try to play it. I do this kinda thing a lot of the time for piano sheet music.

Wow... that would be really cool. I'd turn everything into guitar... and better yet my good ol' sax. I just think it would be interesting to play some tunes...

I am also still open to website suggestions... -------------------- ~ A Hero Is Someone Who Stands When Their Legs Are Gone~ |

Well, you might start listening to the midi. For example, Relm's theme has some wonderful flute music, so I'll example with that. You open up a MIDI if Relm's Theme in Noteworthy. Then, you try to tell by looking at the notes which one is the flute part, or you guess. Right-click on a staff and select "Staff Properties". When you click that, a new window should come up with four sections. If it doesn't appear with the fourth one, "Instrument", selected, then select it yourself. There, you can see which instrument NWC found it to be when it translated the MIDI into sheet music.
If you wanna see only those lines, then just copy the entire staff that you want to see and paste it onto a new score. There, just print. You have the sheet music. http://www.ffsymphony.net/sheet/ff6.htm
there's one to try, the music is in zip files, so I'm not positive that there are flute and trumpet parts, but it wouldn't hurt to try. http://www.squaresound.com/ff6.shtml#sheetmusic Scroll down and you'll find sheet music. Again, it's the same situation, so I don't know if there is flute or trumpet. -------------------- I had an old signature. Now I've changed it. |

I have midis of much of the music tracks of FFVI, as well as SPCs of the original music files, and I can attest to you that there are no solely flute and trumpet tracks (although I'm sure there are some tracks that involve those instruments plus others), so if you want to play something that sounds coherent, you'll have to arrange it for flute and trumpet. If you know music, it shouldn't be hard. The arrangement will definitely sound different from the original, but you can work on it to try to make it sound as close to the original as possible, or you can aim at creating your own version and marking it as such. I'm saying this because I noticed you're looking for free online sheet music for that arrangement, which I doubt you'll find even if you pay money for it.
If you have a music composition computer program, such as Sibelius (what I have), Finale, etc., then it's even easier to arrange music. You just need a conception of how you want your arrangement to go, and then you can either enter the notes into an electronic score by computer keyboard or by MIDI instrument. Then you can print out your score and distribute it however you like. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. You can find me on the Fediverse! I use Mastodon, where I am @[email protected] ( https://sakurajima.moe/@glennmagusharvey ) |

You can buy sheet music at: www.gamemusic.com
If you don't want to buy the music, check out www.gamingforce.com/audio , then look in the 'The Concert Hall'. There's all the FF sheet music there. Look for arrangements at www.nobuouematsu.com , and www.squaresound.com (or pm if you want ff sheet music...) |
