FFIV doesn't have Side Quests like we would think of them (those kind hadn't been invented yet), but it makes up for it in its item hunt. Try to get the Adamant Armor, Dragon Whip, Rune Axe, GlassMask, Crystal Armlets, Cursed Armlet, etc.
And if you have the PSX version, you can try to get those apples or SomaDrops to max HP and MP. There is also those extra summons (Imp, Bomb, Mage, Cockatrice) Edit The only things tremendously useful, though are: Artemis Bow Dragon Whip Adamant Armor GlassMask Crystal Armlets (different from the Gauntlet) This post has been edited by Dark Paladin on 2nd April 2004 22:37 -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

I always considered the spoon a sizeable sidequest...but it's possibly the most wasted sidequest in FF history. All that fighting and time, just to deal out a single max damage which you could do repeatedly with the Bahamut summon.

+Yang and the Sylphs.
+The Pink tail and the Adamant Armor. +The ultimate equipment for most characters, guarded by the toughest monsters. +Elban castle and its treasures. +Cave Bahamut. +The Land of the Summoned Monsters. +The Imp, Bomb, Mage, and (non-FFIIus) Cockatrice summons. +Odin. These (and maybe a few more if I'm missing any) aren't sidequests like the ones of CT and FFVI, but they're the closest the game comes to that kind of sidequest. You don't have to do any of these in order to win the game, but they're just interesting optional scenarios you can do. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. Getting the Adamant Armor by defeating the Pink Puffs is probably the most difficult quest, simply because it requires so much patience, and because the PPs themselves can be so dang tough to defeat.
