I remember alot of his songs, but mostly I love his spoofs like Like a Surgeon, Amish Paradise, Bedrock Anthem. I also loved the Something in the Fridge video with scenes from the Cowboy Beebop episode Toys in the Attic

I was a huge fan of Amish Paradise, Pretty Fly for a Rabbi, Jerry Springer (a parody of "One Week" by BNL), and Smells like Nirvana. Also, I'm pretty sure the parody of Livin' on the Edge is called Livin' in the Fridge, not Something in the Fridge. The opening lines are "There's something weird in the fridge today / I don't know what it is", so maybe that's what you were thinking.

"It's Christmas at Ground Zero". If you haven't heard it, it's good ole stuff from his Demento days.

Heh...
I own most of his albums, including... Weird Al Yankovic (That's the title name) Dare to be Stupid The Food Album Bad Hair Day...until I lost it... Alapalooza Running With Scissors Poodle Hat My favorite songs are: The Birthday Song (Original Album) Like a Surgeon (DTBS) Yoda (DTBS) The White Stuff (TFA) Taco Grande (TFA) Amish Paradise (BHD) The Night Santa went Crazy (BHD) I Remember Larry (BHD) ALL OF THEM FROM ALAPALOOZA... The Saga Begins (RWS) That's you Horoscope for Today (RWS) The one where he imitates Eminem's 'Lose Yourself'... the name isn't coming to me(PH) eBay (PH)] Bob (the biggest song of palindromes ever... lol) (PH) One More Minute (I can't remember the album) Christmas at Ground Zero (Don't know the album) Oh, and i90, you spelled Amish right. They are.... wellllll... abundant here. Their horses leave their... MARK on our roads. They now have electricity and they get hauled around in Econoline F-350 vans (I personally call them "Shmoe-haulers"). FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, get a friggin' CAR! Your horses are ruining the roads! Ok... I'm done now... </venting anger> -------------------- Dang. The first "Weird Al" Yankovich song I heard was Amish Paradise (my favorite) and I heard the song from which he imitated and I thought it was someone imitating Weird Al; I was in the second grade at the time. I also like Jerry Springer, Yoda, Pretty Fly for a Rabbi, and the Slim Shady one.
Has anyone ever heard of Achy Breaky Song (a parody of Billy Ray Cirus' Achy Breaky Heart)? I love, and identify with, that one, but I don't know whether or not it is performed by Weird Al or someone else. It is by Weird Al, and it's in the same album as Jerry Springer, but I'm not sure which.
Edit Now that I think of it, the song Jurassic Park (parody of MacArthur Park) is also in that album, which is the only Weird Al parody that is undeniably and absolutely better than the original. One song that I was almost positive was Weird Al but turned out to be by some dude named Bob Ricci was "She Blocked Mei". check the song (with a decent Flash video) here This post has been edited by laszlow on 25th March 2005 15:21 -------------------- |

Quote (Twilight Paladin @ 25th March 2005 15:12) No... "Achy Breaky Song" is on Alapalooza. Jerry Springer is on Running with Scissors. You're an ABS fan, too, laszlow? Cool. *looks online at album information* Yeah, you're right. Achy Breaky Song and Jurassic Park are both Alapalooza while Springer is Running with Scissors. I think I got Springer confused with Talk Soup, which is on Alapalooza and has a lot of the same themes. I'm an ABS fan, but more of a Newgrounds fan. The music is what sells me on that flash, though. If you like Newgrounds, be sure to check out all of the works of Sakupen, SamBazKa, Adam Phillips, Legendary Frog, and the Super Flash Bros (my favorites, in order). Those guys are insane/amazing. -------------------- |
