FFVII has some of the best minigames out of all the FF's. Crazy Motorcycle, Snowbaording game, the Sub Atk, Battle Arena, the Coaster thingy. I must say FFVII is one of the two best FF's with mingames (FFX-2 has some good ones).
Post your favorite minigames from FFVII.

I always liked the parade thing in Junon, but the motorcycle thing was cool too. Chocobo Racing and Battle Square are more rewarding and addictive though. I'd go with Battle Square because it's more fun.

I really loved the Crazy Motorcycle. The music was awesome techno stuff, and the gameplay was muy divertido.

My fav is the snowboard. Everything about it is just so cool! First the music (Chocobo music i think) fits it perfectly, and as u start going down u get to pick what course u want and in some cases the time trial thing. But i've also made a new choice for myself, whether to go after ballons or start killing snowmen! They fly so far when u hit them at top speed! lol, also when u hit one of the igloos and the moogle is there. It's pretty funny cause he just watches u probably thinking 'what the hell!? u destroyed my house!' then he whips his table at u and takes off. The best mini game in my opinion.

I love the snowboard game. I think it's better than a lot of games that are strictly snowboarding. I have played it for hours at a time, trying to unlock the courses and get good scores. It's so great.

The snowboard game was my favorite also. The point in the story where you do it is rather depressing but the game itself is cool. The motorcycle game does get points for it's uniqueness though, and the movie right before it is nice too.

generally i'm not a huge fan of mini games. But the Chocobo racing in FF7 was awsome. I did feel a lil out of control at times, but the whole thing was just a lot of fun.

Second Choice: Battle Arena

Yeah, get a turbo controller and use that to crank up your score, that is what it said in the FFVII Guide.

I know this sounds lame but I'd have to say the basket ball game was my fav. I used to be able to get over a hundred shots in a row on that.

It came as a surprise to me since I never like racing games, but I fell in love with the whole racing/breeding/finding chocobos thingy. The race-course was so groovy-looking.

Snowboarding and motorcycling were great too and, for some reason, I developed a little affinity for shooting basketball; I think it had a soothing affect.

If the parade in junon counts, I liked it best. Even though it wasn't in the gold saucer, it was hilarious trying to join in at the right time!!

But my favorite gold saucer is a toughie... Chocobo racing took some dedication, but it was worth getting KOTR. The motercycle game was extreme, and the sumbarine one was so... combaty, hehehe. The only one i didn't like was, like Zeil said, the moogle one. Otherwise, they all KICKED!!!

I used to love playing the sub game and the motorcycle game for points, but I sucked at the snowboarding game. =( Battle Square and chocobo racing are also favorite haunts of mine at the GS. =D Getting the high-rank items after putting so much effort into breeding chocobos and surviving the gauntlet was so rewarding. happy.gif

Does anyone know how to play the Moogle one properly? I never took the time to figure it out so I can win. Anyway, that game was the only real disappointment in the Golden Saucer. Other than that, all the games (ESPECIALLY the Chocobo racing) just rocked.

The Gold Saucer is annoying. The only thing I'm half-way decent at is the motorcycle game. Contol for snowboarding sucks, RPS is based on luck, Submarine takes too long, Arm wrestling has too small a reward, Mog House has a prize once, Battle Square is pointless once you get the best two/three prizes, roller coaster allows little chance to pop things, chocobo racing is cheap (if racing) takes too long and is baed on luck, and I absolutely cannot figure out the basketball game.

Snowboarding and Crazy Motorcycle were fun, but MogHouse wins overall! Woo, I had hours of fun on that. biggrin.gif

Yes you are supposed to feed him a specific amount of kupo nuts, that is what it said in the guide, i think the order was , then 6 more on the next time, i'll check.

Sub Attack is fun. You get to go around sinking stuff (I make it sound SO exciting, don't I?). I've found the battle arena to get a bit repetitive after a while. I've often found myself trying to get the worst handicaps possible. I think the worst was having my sword broken twice, halving my hp and mp, and locking all my materia. That was kinda interesting.

You gotta keep feeding him until he quits rubbing his stomach and squeaks. No more!!

It was a great game, and none of the minigames seemed to suck in the game thumbup.gif. So liked all of them as well.

My favorite would have to be...the motorcycle one. I also loved the Submarine one, although it did take a long time. The snowboarding one I never really got into because I did very poor in that one...

Me, my brother, and a neighbor used to go for hours on Snowboarding and Motorcycling. My brother was a better boarder, I was better at biking. I liked the sub game, but couldn't figure out how to turn it into a competition.
