Those who has been around the forums for at least a year, this should be familiar to you. It's time again to start up the CoN Fantasy Football league.
I will quote a Tidu-who post from last year's thread for those who don't know what fantasy football is: Quote What you do is select a number players from the NFL (QBs, RBs, WRs, etc), as well as a team Defense (Chicago's defense, San Fran's defense, etc.). You have a draft at the beginning of the season in order to pick your players (obviously, you'd want your first pick to be a Priest Holmes, Donovan Mcnabb, or Terrell Owens, etc.) Once you have your team, you can make roster changes all season long, to get rid of your players that are doing bad or injured, and sub in the ones that are hot in the NFL (as long as someone doesn't already have them on their team). You go head to head against other people in your league each week, and who wins is determined by how many points your team receives. If your quarterback throws a few TD's, your running back(s) has a strong game, your WR(s) do good, and your defense holds their team to a shut out (all of this in real life of course), then you more than likely are going to win that week. To join, click here http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1...ster/joinleague and choose to "Join a Custom League." (You'll need a Yahoo ID, of course). The league ID # this year is 35399 and the password is conball. As of right now, there are only 13 open left. We are going to do things a tad bit differently this year. We are going to have a live draft through Yahoo on Monday, August 23rd, at 10:00pm EDT. If you're interested in joining but worried that you might not be able to make the Live Draft, don't fret. If you can't make the live draft, you can pre-rank the players and Yahoo will pick for you based on those rankings. I must make one request though. If you do sign up (which I'd love, as the more people the better), you need to participate each weekend. It only takes a few minutes to do and non-participating teams tend to drain the fun of out a league. I'm in again. Last year was a bit of a disappointment. I had a great team, was third(I believe) in points, yet finished in sixth or seventh place. That's not right. I must redeem myself and defeat every single one of you. Oh yes...it will happen!

I hope there are backups... otherwise, bye-weeks for the players are gonna kill us.

I'm in as the Athens Phalanx, but like R51, I really wish this was college. I'm not that up on on pro football in the last year and a half, but I suppose I have a month and half before the draft to learn, eh?

It's been over 2 months, just thought I'd bring this back up since we only have about a week left before the draft. 3 slots left!
Also, I'm curious about the custom title thing too. I'm bummed that I barely missed my chance at one 4 months ago at March Madness time, and since it's already been pretty much established that I will be the victor, it'd be nice, I think. Also, Hamedo, I'm'a try for Vick too. He's a stat master if he plays all season, which it looks like he will. The guy doesn't have bad days. |

The next highest player on Yahoo's list of players will be drafted for you. Unless you make a pre-drafted list which you can do under My Team.

I'm a bit perturbed with Yahoo right now to say the least. It just took away our draft time for some reason.
