Well I have been wondering on what SMA5 is going to be: another remake or an entirely new game. Here are some of my ideas:
SMA1: Take the unique bosses SMA2: Take level amount (96) and mult. by 4. SMA3: Take the graphics and unique bosses SMA4: Take powerups and game engine those are my ideas. Post what you think |

How about a re-release of Super Mario RPG for a portable system? Or has that been done before?

personally i'd like to see an original, 2d, side scrolling, platform hopping mario game. Its been a while since we have seen one of those...

Or they may do Super Mario Kart (In my opinion the best Mario Kart game.) I also haerd Mario Kart 4 GBA is a remake. Who knows what SMA5 could be.

Im with Glenn and the Super Mario RPG remake, or even a sequal, ah who knows. Nintendo's ideas have been coming this way and that lately. But other than that i wouldn't mind seeing another game like super mario 3, headings into levels with abilites beforehand is really helpful. And in 2 u got to throw things, cant go wrong with that. Maybe combining all the ideas? (Did u get to throw things in SMB RPG?)

I'm with DC8. I don't see why these all have to be ports of games I can already play. Make a new side scrolling Mario game. It can't be that hard, given the level of gaming we're up to now. If I'm going to shell out $30 bucks for a game on a portab;e system that I hate playing on, make it be because it's a game I can't play anywhere else. They've made new Metroid games for the GBA that worked out well. Time to move on (or take a step backward, rather) to Mario.
