this entire thread is nothing but spoilers
Possible spoilers: highlight to view I recently got myself thinking, when the guys kill ex-death, the towns come back from the void, therefore, we can conclude, being sucked to the void is not death. So my question is, let's say ex-death sucks everyone to the void, can't they live happily ever after in it, and he be happy that he sucked everyone, and everyone are happy? I can only think of 2 problems: 1) void phsyics is not the same as the normal physics. 2) Exdeath rules the void, so he would have probably noticed the fact they are not suffering enough and do something about it. As I remember, time is frozen in the void.

I was under the impression that Ex-Death would be able to rule over the entire planet once he could suck it into the X-zone, so it doesn't seem like a plot-hole to me.

Maybe he meant the plothole was why your characters can be in the x-zone without being frozen like everyone else?
And the answer to that would be their possession of the crystals. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

Then how come all those monsters aren't frozen in time, but only the people (of Mirage, that is) are?

Quote (Glenn Magus Harvey @ 20th February 2004 19:45) Then how come all those monsters aren't frozen in time, but only the people (of Mirage, that is) are? They're Exdeath's cronies, and he controls the void. -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

Wait...I thought he didn't really control the void, because he
Possible spoilers: highlight to view thought he did until it began to devour him. Or wasn't it that he tried to control but failed since it was too powerful--as the void arrogantly demonstrated to him by swallowing up a few towns? -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. Hmm, the heroes not being frozen because of the crystals, here is an interesting one, but here's a problem.
Gilgamesh is not frozen!!! Also, the hiryuu is not frozen, and i'm sure if i will think hard enough i will find others that are not forzen, but i just had another idea, maybe people don't want to be sucked to the void because it's full with monsters (remember how gilgamesh was?) -------------------- "FLAELI!!!" --- Rune Walsh |

Ok, then they're not normal. They are really strong, stronger than average humans, which is why they were able to withstand the effects of the void. Kinda explains why Possible spoilers: highlight to view the heros were almost drained after they beat Neo-Exdeath -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

That is true I always wondered why the people of Mirage were frozen but no monsters were so I believe that X-Death had "some" control of the void which explains why the monsters are stonger in the Void.

Because maybe the time hasn't «frozen» in the time but flows at a very slower rate. Considering that, 1000 years can pass really qucikly. Which means nobody in the void is stopped. This would mean that it took thousands (millions and billions) of years to the heroes to fight Exdeath. But, after they did, they somehow disturbed the balance in the void, and made it folds up on itself. Which made the time go backward and the heroes came out of the void at the exact moment of their entry. The only thing that doesn't fit that hypothesis is that the heroes can go out of the void before they killed Exdeath and there is no time distorsion nor time travel.
