Okay, some of the bosses in the monster arena are just annoying, I mean are they going to give me a challenge, I mean that when I fight Catastrophe he is just tooooo easy to beat, it is simple summon Magus Sisters, it is over in less than 5 minutes because they hit 99999 eveytime, is there going to be a challenge in the monster arena, if anyone finds any hard bosses post em here. I still think there should at least be a really challenging boss in the game after spend 120+ hours on the game.

Shinryu and Nemesis should both be a boatload harder.
I think I beat Catastrophe with Bahamut... can't quite remember though. -------------------- Get me off this Disciplinary Committee so I can play any FF except for FF8!!! |

That seems to be a recurrent problem with the arena monsters in FFX. The majority of them are either way too difficult to defeat, or if you've gained enough sphere levels and boosted your stats enough they're trivial. The only real exception I've found so far is Nemesis (don't know his Japanese name, it's the monster you unlock when you've captured 10 of everything in the game and then defeated all of the other arena creeps). Even with jacked up stats, the battle with him is not trivial (although it's really more tedious than difficult, really).

Nemesis has 10 million HP. But if you're able to unlock him, which includes capturing ten of every monster and beating all the other monsters, your stats should be insanely high. When I beat him, my main three had 255 strength and over 200 speed, so they would get tons of Quick Hits in before he could even attack. And right before he would attack, I'd just have Yuna summon an Aeon to take the blow. It made it too easy. :-\

Quote (Pandabear78 @ 24th March 2004 01:33) I've found so far is Nemesis (don't know his Japanese name) His Jpn. name is Omega Gold. I heard that in a monster Arena guide on gamefaqs. Shinryu is a challenge because the only other chars. besides Tidus are ones I don't use very often (Rikku and Wakka.) If I trian them I may be able to beat him. |

negative. nemesis' name in the japanese version is 全てを越えし者 (not オメーガ・ゴルド) which is, in english, "the one who has exceeded everything."

When i meant Omaga Gold Ithink that is another name for it in the english version, that is what it said in a guide on gamefaqs.
