Cosmo Canyon Wolf refers to Red XIII's species, because I don't think they are officially named unless I am wrong...
Nor are Freya's race. The people are just called Cleyrans and Burmecians within the game...so I've labelled them as Cleyrans. I'm voting for Qus because Quina has to be the funniest character out of all the Final Fantasies. ![]() -------------------- "Luck is my middle name. If you hadn't called Black Mages a race, i would have voted Moogle. But frankly, i think Black Mages would rule... in Power Armour.
BTW isnt Red XIII AKA Possible spoilers: highlight to view Feline, not Lupine, so therefore he's not a wolf? Hes really a Mountain Lion.Nanaki Burmecia was the orginal Nation also. Cleyra was a splinter nation IIRC, So they would be called Burmecians, not Cleyrans, just like many nations in Europe are referred to as 'Germanic' and soem others are called 'Celtic' dentoign that the Races orginally in those natiosn were Germanic tribes or Celtic tribes. -------------------- "Only the dead have seen the end of their quotes being misattributed to Plato." -George Santayana "The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here..." -Abraham Lincoln, prior to the discovery of Irony. |

Sorry, FF7 was my first FF game and I haven't played it in a long while. I should complete it again soon...
I think Freya's species should be named though...Burmecia and Cleyra are both towns but that doesn't mean they're two different species... PS: Is Amarant human? *blink* Or is his skin meant to be blue? -------------------- "Luck is my middle name. I voted human. Not completely sure why - playing as one seems more right.
And Freya is a Burmecian And Red XIII seems to have both Feline and Lupine features. And Amarant is a human Possible spoilers: highlight to view his origin is Treno, if that means anything -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

I always thought Red XIII was some kind of dog. But, I haven't gotten far enough to find out...
I came to a toss-up between human and moogle. I went with human because I would more likely put a human in a game I would myself make, than I would a moogle. But if somebody had listed tonberry, I would have voted that, not because I would make a game of tonberries, but because tonberries are cute and simply kick arse. And since when did Genome and Black Mage become separate species? I voted Black Mage just for the heck of it.
But I don't think a BM is any different from a human. They are just human magic users, Like LuLu. Except in FF9 Vivi and the other BMs could be considered not human I guess. They were like manufactured dolls and Vivi was a prototype. Also if you are referring to Cait Sith for the cat option, I'm pretty sure he isn't actually a cat. He and the big Mog he rides are just stuffed toys that are controlled by Reeve. I'm assuming he does this using a Manipulate materia in some way. And I think that Red XIII is Lupine. Possible spoilers: highlight to view During the scene at the end of the GI cave at the back of Cosmo Canyon, Nanaki finds out about the heroic true of his father, Seto. When his father's petrified body begins to shed crystal tears Nanaki howls. I've never heard a cat howl before so I think Red is some kind of dog. Hey I am a human so that is what I with. My favorite characters were all human, Locke, Kain, and Cid (FFVII). Also the hottest chicks were humans, Tifa, Yuna, Dagger.
