I love Taco Bell because of the low prices and the low fat great tasting food. Back when I went to college I'd go there 5 days a week. Even now they still give me a free drink every time I go there. So a Bean Burrito and Nachos meal costs $1.80. You can't beat that with a stick. A Chili Cheese burrito and Nachos costs me $1.91. A Nachos Bellgrande costs $2.37. Ok so you guys have to pay for your drinks. Just get a small and take advantage of free refills.

Food from Burger Kind tastes good but wow, that fat makes me feel terrible. I couldn't imagine eating there on a regular basis.

TB (no, not tuberculosis) wins my vote by far. Great food, usually good service, and relatively low prices. Wendy comes in second, probably, for their tremendously low prices; I can get a good, big meal for $4 ($1 apiece: a salad, biggie fries, frosty, and baked potato).

Mmm, mmm, good.

Having noticed it was post 500, i must now promote fried, kill-you-before-you-are-25 food in greater depth...

Look at thsi mouthwatering array of UK fast Food that has supported fisheries and undertakers for generations!

Fried Fish (Haddock, Cod, Palice, Etc... Nice in Seaside towns as its fresh)
Fried Hamburgers and Batter (beautiful)
Fried Sausage and Batter (always nice)
Pizza. (like cardboard in places, but like heaven in others)
Deep Fried Mars Bar. Yes, deep-fried mars bar.
Haggis.
Black Pudding
Pies (steak, scotch, and the like)
Chips (French fries to those with no NHS to pump fat out of your arteries)
Fritters

Its flabtastic!

I'm not from California, but those of you who are better vote the way I did - other, for In & Out Burger. It's so damn good... Everything is made and shipped fresh that day and is very delish. Unfortunately it's only in the California/Arizona areas and family owned so we won't have any in Michigan anytime soon. ;_;

Out of those listed I'd have to go with Arby's though. Arby's has great Roast Beef and Chicken, Market Fresh, you name it, they have it. It's a little expensive but they have a very broad and tasty menu.

Arby's no question. I remember back in the day when my good friend worked there, can everyone say freebie? The food is always fresh, their new sandwhiches rock, their curly fries are the best, and they have Jamocha shakes. What more could you want?

Taco Bell... or Taco Hell? tsk tsk tsk, Taco Bell... I don't eat from the bell anyway... personal bad experiences and I just don't like the food that much.

The only way I'd ever eat anything like McDonalds or BK is if I was forced by gun point or if there really wasn't anything else. I am a Subway freak (btw, I am VERY disappointed that you left it off the list tongue.gif ). Subway's food is fresh and made right in front of you, sooo many selections to choose from, service is usually good (at least here it is), and the food is awesome. Of course, I would always prefer a good homemade meal, but with my busy schedule, I have Subway at least once a week.

I also like Taco Bell, though some of the food isn't that good. I can get tired of Taco bell pretty fast. I like BK too.

I like Carls Jr myself. Around the South though they are known as Hardee's. I don't know why but they are. Anyway I loved the way they revamped the menu and droped 40 items in exchange for a really good burger.

Allow me to sing of Carls Jr.

Carls Jr. is far and away the greatest fast food resteraunt on Gods green earth. Their fries are a very viable alternative to McDonalds and their burgers are much better. The Double Western Cheeseburger owns the bejeezus out of the Big Mac and Whopper, and their Ranch Chicken sandwich is a little nugget of bliss. Aside from the prices, I see no reason why you would ever NOT eat at Carls Jr. It makes no sense. One bite of the Ranch Chicken sammich is worth the price though.

Since there are so many fast food places, my focus is on the typical burger and burrito places. KFC is great but that's in the "fast food chicken genre" for lack of a better term. There are a few fast food chicken places, and including KFC would have meant including all of those. Subway is great but to my knowledge they don't have any "drive-thrus", so is that really a fast food place? Heh, plus trying to communicate with the english challenged indians behind the counter about what you want can take all day (my personal experience). sleep.gif Also you could make a whole seperate poll just on pizza places. I just thought I'd throw that out there before someone says "OMG you didn't put Papa John's on there!" laugh.gif

Fun fact: Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut are owned by the same company called Yum!

Oh man...I really want Arby's now. Thanks. pinch.gif

I just love their roast beef. And they've got good value things, like when they have five roast beef sandwiches for six bucks. It's great to go with friends or family and stuff yourselves for cheap.

Wendy's, though I voted Taco bell by accident (seems to be a reoccering senario).

A good friend of mine made me a believer in their real food fast. However, I don't normally eat fast food; when I'm forced to eat out, I find a diner, or stop at Subway (which I don't really consider fast food).

Yeah, some Indians own this one over here too. They're such assholes. I dunno about the UK but there are also chains of places here called Quiznos, they're also good.

Which emans that down at the Pheonix retail park near Linwood, where the cinema is, you can put moeny inot the comapnies wallets in two places less than 34 yards apart... it explains why you cant have a pizza hut without a KFC withing a square mile.

Stupid fact: for less than £3, you can get a decent meal at a BK or Mcdonalds in the UK. Unless you buy the drink in the store...
Cheeseburger: 69p
Fries: 80p
Drink: £1.10... for about a 79p bottle of Coca-Cola.

So the cheeseburger costs less than the fries? It's usually the other way around here in the states.

In fact, a lot of them are joining forces, and you'll find a Hut, KDC, and TB all in the same building. That's a great place to eat. smile.gif

Oh, and Yum! is a division of Pepsico. Just try going to any of those places and getting a Coke.

Anyway, if we're really limiting this to burger-type places, I go with Steak and Shake. If that's too out there for i90's nebulous rules ( wink.gif ), I go with Sonic. Both have really good burgers and shakes.

I used to really like Miami Subs, but they're only in South Florida, as far as I know...certainly not up here in Pittsburgh. happy.gif() My favorite traditional fast food is Wendy's, but if you include places like Panera or Primanti Bros., those are better, in my opinion.

Mmmm.... Quiznos.... pretty good sub place. They have 'em in Puerto Rico where I used to live. I still think Subway has the best subs.

Can someone tell me what the heck are White Castle and Carls Jr. are? Call me ignorant if you wanna, but I've never heard o' thems. wacko.gif

About KFC, I live in the town right next to the one where the first KFC was, and still is, to my knowledge. They have the World Chicken Festival every year (no joke), and the Colonel's house was up for sale when we moved into the house I'm in now.

I really enjoy Wendy's Salads and chicken strip thingys. But after a trip to MI this summer I have to say White Castles. Who couldn't wuv the little burgers wub.gif
Luckly they now sell them on the East cost in the freezer area or the supermarket thumbup.gif
Though try explaining them to a New Englander and they think your crazy.

I vote KFC too, even though it's not on the list. Mmmm, real chicken. smile.gif

I live in Santa Cruz, California, which is basically Vegan-Hippie Central, but I'm not one of them. I'm not a huge fan of most fast food, mostly because I've had some bad experiences in just a few places that sort of turned me off to the whole concept of fast food in general. However, living in Santa Cruz means that you get access to some rather odd variations in "fast food", like for example falafels. I'm not even vegetarian, but I love a good falafel. smile.gif

Voted other for Subway. Nothing beats the chicken breast sub with onions, lettuce and pickles, IMO.

Those Frosties from Wendy's are quite tasty though.

Holy crap McDonald's! The best possible fast food meal :

McChicken w/o mayo
2 apple pies
mcvalue fries
small soda/chocolate shake

All for about 4 dollars.

I don't get this whole "low price" argument. EVERY fast food restaurant is cheap. That's the whole concept.

Honorable mention goes to KFC, Wendy's, Taco Bell, and BK in that order.

Well 5 dollars for a fast food meal ain't cheap. That's what I end up spending at Burger King or McDonalds. For a dollar more I can go to Old Country Buffet (aka Hometown Buffet & Country Buffet) and get a much better meal... a big salad, jello, watermelon, potato salad, carrots, asparagus, spaghetti, mashed potatoes, a taco, a bun, white fish and chocolate cake. That meal right there will knock you out for 2 hours, noooo doubt about it.
